Make some space on your calendar – the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 will be livestreamed on Sunday, June 8, starting at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern / 6pm UK time. Following in the footsteps of the 2023 Starfield Direct and 2024 Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Direct, this year we will again have a double feature, with the Xbox Games Showcase immediately followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct.
It all begins with our annual Xbox Games Showcase, bringing you a look at upcoming titles from across our first-party studios, in addition to incredible new titles from our third-party partners across the globe. This year, the show will be digital-only – our livestream will bring you everything you'll need to know about what's next for Xbox, no matter where in the world you're watching.
Immediately following Showcase, The Outer Worlds 2 Direct will bring you inside the walls of Obsidian Entertainment, revealing new gameplay, details, and developer insights, straight from the people making the sequel to the award-winning, first-person sci-fi RPG.
You'll be able to enjoy our June 8 double feature through a variety of outlets, in over 40 languages, as well as American Sign Language, British Sign Language and English Audio Descriptions. These include (but won't be limited to):
Airtime for the Xbox Games Showcase followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct in local time zones:
  • PDT: June 8, 10am
  • EDT: June 8, 1pm
  • BST: June 8, 6pm
  • CEST: June 8, 7pm
  • JST: June 9, 2am
  • AEST: June 9, 3am
The double-feature broadcast also kicks off a week's worth of coverage here on Xbox Wire, The Official Xbox Podcast, and the Xbox YouTube channel, featuring updates, exclusive extra details, and deep-dives on many of the games you'll see in the show.
Join us on June 8 for the Xbox Games Showcase followed by The Outer Worlds 2 Direct. Be sure to check back here on Xbox Wire for more information and tune-in details ahead of the show.

After how great Avowed is in terms of lore, gameplay, combat, graphics, terrain / level design, and art design, I couldn't be more pumped for Outer Worlds 2. Unreal 5, getting the big showcase spot too. This could be much better than I was initially expecting.

Maybe we'll see some footage of Clockwork Revolution, Double Fine's game, maybe Gears first gameplay, maybe Everwild. Hope we finally get a release date for Replaced also. Probably will get another Ninja Gaiden 4 trailer with release date. Maybe we'll get the next Starfield expansion trailer.

Probably will see Perfect Dark and Fable in January at the next Dev Direct.

The big question mark is hardware. Guess we'll see. Probably not at this event, but who knows.

A full Direct for Outer Worlds 2, huh?

Hopefully they add a lot of cool stuff to lore and story. After Avowed, am not sure something like Outer Worlds 1 is gonna cut it.

meh... unless i see the letters and number "GTA6" in any of these things, I couldn't really care less what snake oil Sony, MS or Ninty are pushing.

I'd love for them to genuinely hit us with some unique innovative games, the same for Sony and Ninty but I just can't get myself excited for any of these "showcases" anymore.

God damn imagine if they drop The Out Worlds this year too, that will be potentially 3 first person RPGs in one year.

Not particularly interested in Outer Worlds, but really looking forward to seeing more Fable and Perfect Dark (and maybe some new announcements!)

They're giving Outer Worlds 2 a dedicated Direct, it's getting the premium treatment.

Obsidian is one of the GOAT developers this gen in terms out consistent quality output.

Damn fucking shame Fable missed the year, but ah well. They've already got plenty of first party content this calendar year.

As someone who no longer owns an Xbox system, historically MS usually has given the best showcases. Nintendo might have the highest highs but MS presentations usually entertain and build a lot of hype. Sadly, they don't always deliver on that hype though.

Too much hyperbole, I'll have to scale it down

They're giving Outer Worlds 2 a dedicated Direct, it's getting the game we want to sell treatment.

Obsidian is doing a good job this gen in terms out consistent quality output.

Too bad Fable missed the year, but ah well. They've already more than 2 first party content this calendar year.

Xbox has lost so much luster i didn't even know this was announced, haven't seen this on any socials, thanks Gaf

I'll be there

It's an all digital direct. No live audience. I'm betting that is because there would be riots in the theater when every game is announced for PS5

Credit where credit is due, Microsoft has put together some good directs and showcases lately.

Last year was great

Excited to possibly see more of Halo, Fable, and Gears

I have to admit that it looks a lot better than Starfield. I may pick it up due to the lack of space rpgs these days,
