If they really want to win people over by tapping back into the Xbox of old, how about they announce the complete annihilation of ads on the platform. Take us back to pre-2005

I mean it's the exact same logo. Just with color and effects.

It's not a rebranding.

The white knock out version will still be used when applicable.

If they are hyping this as a rebranding, this is fucking retarded.

nintendo marketed it as a rebranding when they changed their red logo to grey, and then did it again when they changed it back to red.

I like it...

Though you almost have to wonder if MS is trying to win over people's favor by "saving" Xbox bringing it to its former glory so they are more willing to use copilot... if they are seen as squandering Xbox (among other things) why would people buy into their AI ambitions?

Hard to believe all if this isn't interconnected somehow.

Pretty much everything every major corporation does now revolves around AI in one way or another.

I hate the current timeline so much.

It's dumb in Nintendo's case as well. Look, I am not poo-pooing them changing colors and adding an effect while keeping the logo the same. Most complete rebrands look like shit recently(See the evolution of Ubisoft's logo. It looks like shit, like I mean it looks like an abstract top down view of a literal pile of shit.). I'd rather them stick to the iconic branding that has years/decades of investment. And modern corporate design sensibilities are terrible compared to even 15 years ago.

I am saying it is a hollow press release that means nothing to cynnically score "Under new management" messaging to the gullible. Furthermore, in the brand guidelines, there is always a knock-out white logo for certain implementations where the collatoral or merch would need it. So..... the white one will still be used then. I am saying this is a non-story.

Best generation ever.

PS2
GameCube
XBox
Only knew one guy who had an Xbox OG. A bunch of us went to his house to do a hockey pool and we rotated playing his Xbox. First time me playing it. Huge gamepad, but felt fine.

I couldnt believe it. Madden and NHL at 60 fps, whereas on PS2 it was choppy. And best of all, he had 100s of pirated Genesis and SNES games installed on it. Played Contra 3. First time playing it on a TV since SNES days!

What decisions has she done other than say. "We hear you"
dropped price of Game Pass ultimate and also reverted name back to Xbox, clarified focus on next gen 1st party console codenamed Helix, dropped the everything is an Xbox campaign. Removed day and date COD off Game Pass which was making it untenable price wise for most people, has re-instituted weekly meetings on status of current gen consoles. Those are some major moves in the first 2 months.

Nothing compared to the log I just left the janitor at work to figure out how hes gonna bust that barney up to get it to flush!

MAJOR UPDATE: He opted to completely remove the turd from the toilet LOL!

Plot Twist: OP was found face down, ass up, stuck in the office toilet. He was the "log".

The funny thing is I guarantee you Asha made the decision after consulting with Copilot on what Xbox fans want and I'm not even joking.

AI chatbots are giving MS execs better ideas on how to develop their brand than real human employees were able to do in the last 15 years.

- Go back to full on, not compromised console exclusives
- Bring back the blades or whatever is better than the ad infested piece of shit that the current UI has become
- Free online
- Kill Gamepass entirely (except for maybe a cheap tier that gives you some discounts and 2-3 free trash games a month)
- Games sell consoles. Develop good games ffs
- Kill all public association of the brand with Microsoft. This company is nuclear waste in terms of marketing and brand recognition
- Instead of buying expensive publishers and then completely failing an curating them, pay for exclusives from third party like Sony does

Green is part of Xbox's identity and should never have disappeared from the logo.

More than from the 360 era, the new logo has the Xbox original vibes.... Part of "Return of Xbox" vision/marketing maybe.

It's an upgrade for sure. I hate that fucking minimalist bullshit design that mainly Google and Apple cursed the world with. Skeuomorphism was dope. Especially game UIs nowadays are just such significant downgrades from shit we had in the late 90s and early 2000s.
