Weird on my first start-up after the update has installed I could still see my friendlist(what game they're playing, online/offline). But now that I've restarted the system it's down for me too.

Wasn't that one of the warnings for this preview? That you wouldn't have access to your friendlist till the march 11 update is live

Same here, fired up Ghosts but everyone name there is showing normally.
 
Xbox Live started having issues as soon as I signed into my Xbox 360 to boot up the old-style party chat. I'm sorry guys, I broke it for everyone :(
 
Can somebody explain to me what's up with the whole registration thing? I have the Registration app installed and have been approved or whatever, it says "This Xbox is registered to preview updates."

So...now what? I obviously don't have the update and haven't gotten any messages directing me to download it.

Such a great OS, until you had more than 20 games on the store. And for those who say "NO ADS!" That dashboard had ads a few months after launch.

They are going out in waves. Just have to wait.
 
What is the best setting to have your Xbox One set to for this beta update? I doubt they will have it availabe via usb like the last one. That was how I got that update.

No I meant the record of your hours played. It's completely inflated for me on almost every single game except for Ryse I think. Peggle 2 already showed "DAYS played" on Day 1 lol.

Might be just a few games... My peggle 2 says that to... Like over 100 hours lol. I almost thought maybe I left my xbox on for days
 
I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the ability to set up IR blasting for your devices and choose what gets turned on/off with the Xbox wasn't there pre update in Australia, and is now. Originally I had to change region to US to set it up and then change back. May have been added to other regions as well.

Unfortunately the "Xbox On" voice command still doesn't seem to be an option for some inexplicable reason.

Compare your game with someone else and select the game you want to view your playtime on. And you can see it in the achievement section of the smartglass app.

Talking about smartglass. It's crazy that smartglass gives us more info on progression/stats than the achievement app on the Xbox One does.
 
Looks like the "resume games quickly" is taken out of beta. Or at least the "(Beta)" behind the option has been removed.

so I was referred last night and just got my code, entered it and registered..is that all I can do for now? Is there an actual chance I dont get approved? or is everyone getting in? Will I receive a message on live if I am approved? sorry, I dont really want to go through this whole thread and find an answer haha

You have to check the app, it'll let you know if accepted. Usually takes less than 24hrs from what I gather, but can take up to 48hrs.
 
I got the message with my code and already downloaded the app and registered. Thanks again Frayne Daddy. All I can do now is wait to see the response.

Outside of saying "XBOX, Broadcast" to get the Twitch app to open and checking the improved friends list & party options there's not a lot of other things to do. It's not really a flashy update (until Twitch broadcast launches) but it's an important one.

That new Friends list looks flashy enough for me.

We need to try another "popular folks on Xbox Live" thread. I want to get some celebrity/gaming industry tags since we can add a couple of thousand.
