I don't know how those fans who stayed with the ecosystem live with that (nonsensical) anxiety. I bounced from the Xbox ecosystem in 2024. I miss it, but I no longer trust it.

Love the XSX controller for PC games, I just wish they would release a controller that doesn't sound like I am slamming pieces of plastic together every time I move the sticks and press the face buttons.

I would not think they are in trouble but they are transitioning away from how they do things. So, when it comes to the actual console, it is not a primary focus. I am not sure that is good or bad because I do not know their internal goals other than rumors/reports that are public.

High level post here that many will miss. The bolded is something that everyone needs to take in and truly think about, because you're right. A few quarters for MS that could be worse than expected due to the A.I. bubble and who knows what Satya will want to cut next.

Everyone needs to accept that Satya is ALL IN on A.I. now. Everything else can burn.

Xbox consoles are definitely in trouble. There is a transition toward PC going on right now. It's very likely that Xbox consoles will be niche within Microsoft gaming.
Xbox as an ecosystem, platform, publisher is not in trouble
