Konami also promises to support the game after its release with downloadable content packages to be announced (as was the case with Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix), although it's not yet clear whether that content will require a fee.

It's likely there will be a fee. Konami has to pay licensing fees for each songs right? If you had to pay to get downloadable content for DDR, why not this? How about a conspiracy theory, they were planning to add more songs to the XBOX version, but decided to make those downloadable contents to give people the illusion that they are getting the songs for free?
