I went to Target last night and saw multiple Xbox Ones available for purchase with zero PS4s in stock. Does anyone else find this shocking? Anyone see the same?

Guess Microsoft is better equipped to provide supply for their product. I guess I am shocked by Sony's misjudgment.

I'm shocked that people keep bothering to make "Xbox One is available at ___" threads.

There are plenty of them out there. I'll be waiting for some better games before I pick one up.

I am shocked, outraged, disgusted, nauseous, and aroused.

You are not seeing double, I am beside myself.

Anecdotal reports aside, if they are starting to stick in inventory, Microsoft will either put up a monster number for December or have something to worry about come January, not too dissimilar from Wii U of last year. I'm leaning more towards monster-ish and less worrisome.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
Only because MS is doing such a phenomenal job at producing consoles and keeping up with demand.

I thought people who worked retail were saying the boxes were not being sold and just sitting there. Wasn't this in the Sunday-sale thread?

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?
Flooded with them at all the gamestops in my area. Hell when I was at work my manager jokingly commented that MS needs to stop fucking send us so many. They're selling at a decent pace, but nothing to warrant the absolute flood of stock we're getting. I think the Xbone will take december NPD's just by virtue of this alone. We definitely sell PS4's at a far faster rate when we get them in (Probably at a 3 or 4 to 1 rate at my store), but we've probably sold more ones just by virtue of having so god damn many, and sony's low stock relative to demand.

I saw the exact same thing today in my local Target. Can't keep them PS4s in stock!! Although, some may still try and view it as MS 'well-stocking' their product.

I would think that retail boxes you see are probably a result of them not selling while amazon availability and ordering directly from the ms store are representative of MS's efforts to restock.

I'm glad I haven't run across any here in Las Vegas. Doubt the wife would be too happy at a $500 impulse buy sitting right next to last month's $400 impulse buy.

What? Is there something else that you would call it when a fast-selling item's stock is replenished frequently, genius? Selling electronics isn't a war, it's a business. You want your customers to be able to buy your product when they get to the store. You don't want mountains of them piling up Rock Revolution-style, of course, but there is no indication that this is the case here.

and some might still try to view it as xbone not selling. funny how that works, huh?

Without knowing production numbers or current sales numbers of either console some may view this as anecdotal evidence that doesn't really mean much.

Nah, I miss-phrased it a bit. They ARE well-stocked, but when quantities keep piling in and you see them sitting around and PS4s are nowhere to be seen... It's not that the PS4s aren't being stocked as well, it's that they can't keep them IN stock. Although, I wonder how things would look if PS4 was replenished just as fast? Although I'm sure it's difficult with trying to allocate systems to all the countries they keep adding, versus the 13 that Xbone has, unless MS has expanded the number of countries, since?
