Thought this was worth sharing, making my way through it now.

It has FREE DLC that is available for a number of Back Compat games.

Facts:

• All Games with Gold titles on Xbox 360 will be backwards compatible
• Games need to have publisher approval
• Microsoft plans to have all MS published titles available (except for Kinect games or games with license issues)
• 360 games using peripherals/kinect will not work
• Menu+View brings up the 360 guide while playing a BC title.
• You can party chat with 360 users while using a BC title.
• Xbox One features such as screenshots, clip recording, Snap and twitch streaming can be used with BC games.
• If you upload your Xbox 360 game saves to the cloud you can access them when playing BC titles via Xbox One

Just thought of a few things you could add.

Menu+View brings up the 360 guide while playing a BC title.

I figure these would be good things to add as they are always asked about in the other thread.

No they said all future GWG will be BC and all future 360 releases will be BC.

All future games released on the Xbox 360, and any games provided for the Xbox 360 for free through the Gold Live service, will all be backwards compatible by default, too. It's pretty tidy, and you can find our pick of the top 10 here!

Microsoft has informed us as of Gamescom “all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be playable on Xbox One,” and it’s believed that upcoming games available for Xbox 360, will also be backwards compatible out of the box.

Oh well it being believed doesn't necessarily mean it will be. But I have been mildly curious if they do make cross gen games BC.

Edit: As far as kinect games being BC, Microsoft already stated they wouldn't be. Only the "Better with Kinect" games would be.

Partially correct. Only preview members have access to Gears 1 right now since BC is still in preview. If you're a preview member you can play on Tuesday.

Are you sure? I mean if you already own it, then yes, but I don't think you'll be able to play it on Tuesday if you're relying on the licenses that you'll be getting for playing Gears Ultimate.

Good point. I forgot the Gears games will be digital. So I rescind my previous comment, but it shouldn't be to hard for them to just give digital access to Gears 1 on launch day since it's already working.

I believe they will send out 4 codes for the games and they won´t do this until BC is available for everyone.

It'll be nice, but 360s will also continue to work. People still play on Atari 2600's.

There is no Kinect port for 360 on the X1, and the USB ports are not available to the emulator.

You have to be invited by a friend who is already in the preview program.
