Is Burnout Revenge backwards compatible?
Looked all set to be but has gone quiet since. Amazon had it listed along with NFS most wanted and Goddamn Fight Night 4.

Argh. I hope it happens.Looked all set to be but has gone quiet since. Amazon had it listed along with NFS most wanted and Goddamn Fight Night 4.
Will never happen due to publishers or licenses though.
Lots of those are sports games and licensed games that will never comeJust some math
We are currently at 202 BC games.
According to Wikipedia there are 1173 retail games + 715 arcade games = 1888 games (I believe Kinect-only games are already excluded from this list)
So 10,7% of those are available as BC right now.
In the last 3 months we got an average of 17,3 games / month
=> If they continue this pace it will take a little over 8 years for all Xbox 360 games to become BC![]()

I still don't get why publishers would be against this, if they are not created "HD remasters" of games. It's free money.
Maybe they would rather people buy their new games as opposed to playing their old ones. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1&2 was just announced for PS4/XB1. Maybe publishers would like to keep the door open for remasters, even if they aren't currently pursuing them. Maybe they want to hold on to them as pre-order incentives for a game that may or may not ever happen.
I can think of lots of reasons. Publishers allowing the game to be BC is mostly an act of goodwill. It's not really a good business move unless they have absolutely no plans to ever re-release or make a sequel. The users that don't already own the old game and would buy it as a result of BC is probably pretty small, and even then they are buying it at cheap, low-margin prices.
I've never seen the original in testing, just 2 and case zero/west.

I disagree. Look at CODBlops1. Instant influx of sales. No effort. Also Castle Crashers is BC and they also put at an X1 version. Same with Limbo. And some others.
Skate 3 is awful.
I'm simply giving you some valid reasons why companies might choose to not allow BC. I did not say they couldn't or shouldn't allow it. Some of them are less focused on maximizing every sales opportunity than others. Behemoth is the type of studio that enjoys getting goodwill from the gaming community, so they chose accordingly.
How many of these are XBLIG? Any?

Apparently Symphony of the Nights splash image changed?
It was the Castlevania title card from the post Richter intro crawl but now its a picture of Alucard from the Japanese box art.
I think a few 360 splash images changed, actually. I was going through my 360 games to force any remaining updates that hadn't been auto-downloaded, and a few of them seemed really unfamiliar/different.
I am getting impatient waiting for Fable Anniversary now.
Playing Portal: Still Alive and don't remember the performance being this bad on 360 (Orange Box, though I doubt there's a diff). I actually hope it's the emulation and not me just being spoiled by current gen games. What's the early word on Portal 2's performance?
Was just wondering, anybody have the Stick of Truth BC? Thinking about picking it up, not sure it has any major performance issues/problems.
Plays perfectly for me so far. Such a great game, surprised at how good it is actually. Underneath all the toilet humor is a fantastic RPG.
Condamned 2 please!
Alan Wake and Stick of Truth updated this week for some reason.
Yeah, all you have to do is look at how Steam and even GOG have been successful at selling digital copies of older games and many publishers have taken advantage. I don't see BC being much different.
On a somewhat related/unrelated note...
I hate to admit it but for consoles I was always considered owning physical copies of games as a must. Somehow the concept of BC on Xbox One has changed my mindset. I just want to have a massive library of digital games on my console now.
If the console makers really want to push an all digital marketplace providing high discounts on older games, and making them playable on the newest console is a great way to start the conversion process. My big concern with digital on consoles was lack of support for games as they get older. That might still be a valid concern, we'll have to see what MS does on future consoles (beyond Scorpio, which is still a ways off itself)
The only game I don't have a digital copy of on my Xbox One now is Halo 5. Xbox converted me, and it was through BC.
Thanks for the reply! Yeah I've heard it's quite a surprisingly good game. Want to get into it before the Fractured But Whole
Has anyone tried Portal 2? I'm thinking about picking it up again if it runs well.
It's really good, especially if you love South Park. As above the combat is pretty basic but the game is perfectly paced.
Can't speak for the performance on BC though. I'm actually hoping the XBO (remaster?) has decent performance because I plan on getting TFBH and it's been a while since my SoT play through that im due for another .
I bought SoT last week or the week before when it was on sale for $10 and it runs great on BC imo. I recall that the slow loading menu system was my biggest gripe when I played it on my PS3 last gen and I believe it loads faster now but it might just be my poor memory too.
Either way it plays well enough that I am enjoying it. The journey of Sir Douchebag continues...
Can't wait for Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey to be available, especially since Phil Spencer made an update on those during E3 !![]()

Bit the bullet and got Portal 2.
Campaign running completely fine so far.
Anyone had issues with X-Com? Played a couple of hours yesterday, went to load my save game and it has vanished
I have a question:
I have Gears 1 and 2 for 360, on disc. And I am German so yeah, I ordered the games from amazon UK. The games play fine, of course. But will they also work on XBO? It has to download the games so I don't know if it will stop to work then.
Also, is there *any* possibility that I can buy the games digitally on XBO? Can I switch to an austrian account? Or is there no way that as a German you can buy Gears digitally?
