Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Thread: Everyone wants it, no one uses it

Doritos Crash Course?! Finally!

Being serious, I wonder if it's the director's cut of DE:HR. I held off on playing it cos it can't be installed on X360 (last time I checked) and the disc spins like crazy.

Isn't the Director's Cut DLC? So in theory that should also be downloadable, right?

My Halo Reach disc doesn't work yet. Sad face.

EDIT: Two hard resets fixed it. Downloading now!

Braid
DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION
Fable III
Halo: Reach
Iron Brigade
Kane & Lynch 2
Spelunky

These make me happy. Will be playing these for sure. Nice update, I say.

I thought there would be more, but it confirms that the number of retail games is relatively limited ATM

All of these were on my last list *except Doritos, which was on previous ones.

From that list you will be able to pick out what is also likely to be a GWG offering

Marvel vs Capcom 2? no licensing issues?

fuck yes if Sonic Generations comes soon, can ditch the crappy PSNow streaming version

Eh, nothing for me in that batch. I'll try Reach but I know I won't spend much time on it. I have Braid, Peggle and Zuma but didn't intend to replay those. Maybe I'll give Splosion Man a try.

Have the majority of the games on the list so it's not too bad. Would have liked to see MM9/10 get confirmed since they're on sale but I'll grab them anyways.

I don't see any Missing Link DLC for Deus Ex

with their giant image of all the games, they made it seem like it would be a similar amount every month.

It was something along the lines of "with hundreds more in the months to come". That's pretty easy to read that as a large amount of games every month.

Okay, just did a match of Firefight on Reach. Framerate didn't seem too hot, but maybe that's because I'm used to the 60 fps of the other Halo games. Made a video, will post when it's uploaded.

Eh, that's one hell of an assumption considering that no one else has been able to come anywhere close to that when adding to their list of supported titles for a software-based emulation anywhere that I know of. Not Ninty, not Sony, not anyone. I mean, I get that there's going to be disappointment about the relatively low number added compared to the starting wad of 104, but let's be just a little more realistic about the pace, especially when this is all still a free service.

It appears I was right in that we shouldn't expect a huge amount of titles every month.

16 for this month is less than I expected though.

Sucks.

I'm sure they said between 10 and 20 a month. Which is fair enough.

The initial communication about the amount of games released each month was quite ambiguous actually, but they later said that since not everything depended on them, they couldn't guarantee a given number each month.
Even if there isn't much for me in the latest update, I think it's fine. No reason to complain anyway, it's like the Louis CK skit "it's amazing how quickly the world owes us something" when we didn't even believe it was possible 6 months ago. :P

Are they serious right now? No bioshock or blops or skate? Wasnt they confirmed for dec? What about any good game for that matter? this "feature" is slowly becoming a huge joke if this is the quality and out put every month then no thank you

LOL not even 2 full months and the hyperbole is dooming the program.

Congrats

You sound pretty ungrateful dude - no need for it. Plenty of good games have been released - including this batch (Reach and Deus Ex). And may I remind you this is free....so stop sounding like a spoilt brat.

Not really hyperbole but when they sit there and say that next month bioshock trilogy is coming and cod and skate one kinda expects it....

And I'm sorry but I can't see anyone defending the output reach? OK maybe but if every month is gonna just have a reach type game plus throw ins no thank you the 360 has hundreds of games and this is all they give? its pathetic imo
