Some reviews, Edge specifically, said there was no slowdown after downloading the day 1 patch. Maybe they're blind to it, but a few others have said in runs without a hiccup.

I tried Twitch on PS4 a few times. It streamed without sound every time.

Yeah unless I'm completely missing it I don't think you even get those options in the 360 version - just the basics - "need medic/ammo/etc" and "thank you/affirmative"
Dead Rising and KI and Zoo Tycoon (really!) seen to be the best reviewed so far.
It makes sense since you can use it to control the system. Different UI and whatnot.

There's no problem, I'm just commenting on them really. As for notifications, I hope there's more granularity to which types can be shown. The PS4 handles it nicely enough.

TV achievements are so stupid. Game achievements are just, something you managed to accomplish by your skill in playing a game. My dog can watch TV, staring is not an achievement. This goes for games that give you an achievement for doing shit like opening your inventory.

I see from the other thread that PS4 just got the 1080p patch for AC...has there been any indication from Ubi on potentially the same patch coming to XOne or has there been any confirmation as to how many peeessss he XOne is going to output for this game?
Nope, but the thing is out in the wild today (sold today in stores). Not going to be long before we all know. I'm thinking 900p but no way to be sure. That extra AA may have to be patched in as well so it may require day one update too.
There's no Gamescore points associated with media achievements. Only games can build Gamerscore so these are sort of notations for your use of apps is all.

Went into Best Buy after picking up some Xbox One games from Gamestop and asked some launch questions. Apparently they are fulfilling 100% of pre-orders at launch, but had no idea there were two different editions of the Xbox One being released at the same time. The employee I was speaking to went out back to check the box colours after I mentioned it, and he said they had more green than black, so most likely black will be given to those that arrive first and have pre-orders. Asked a few more things but those were the questions I couldn't find answers to definitively online.

Gifts are ingame unlocks. Challenges are like achievements, but without gamerscore, they displayed in the profile though.

My copy of Assassin's Creed IV just arrived today through Amazon, shame they couldn't have just shipped the rest of my order today. Gonna be a long few days of staring at this box.
Now thats a nice set of inputs. I love my PS4 but why does Sony skimp out and not put at least one usb on the back so my dang charge cable isn't sticking out the front.

Unfortunately, they've said that the input latency is high enough for the feed coming in that it's not recommended for fast games where input timing is key. Maybe it's a hardcoded limitation of the feature, or maybe it can be adjusted later on via update to strip a lot of the processing away for interactive use, rather than just linear/non-interactive feeds, like television shows and movies.
