That sounds absolutely awesome. I'll definitely use Kinect functions like that.

Not saying the problems should not be mentioned and they should be fixed asap, but it feels like they are constantly hammering on that stuff, reapting it over and over again while sitting on this high horse that also has problems - it's almost making fun of those who enjoy the time of launch and the games, and is quite insulting in a way.

But plenty of new problems with Xbone and its core functionality came to light just today: Long startup time, huge power usage in stand by, laggy snap (audio and video getting out of sync), no Skype video chat while snapped, HDMI in degrading picture and sound quality, only stereo on optical out

This is not "constantly hammering on that stuff", but discussing new information. The fact Microsoft didn't mention these problems in their pre launch marketing is obvious, that's why we only know about them now.

And this isn't about one console vs. another, but discussing the merits of Xbone. Just, in direct comparison, PS4 comes out looking much better.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to. As long as the prompt shows you could just say "Fire volley" since the Kinect would already be listening.

What would constitute a QTE not working well? From what I've played of Ryse, it's just "colour appears on screen, press button. If you don't the execution still happens the exactly same way".

I presume it's so the xbox can distinguish between your normal talking and knowing when to listen for a command. Obviously doesn't sound natural but that what it is atm,
