I wasn't at the E3 one. Was randomly banned on OT, was one of the proud pioneers of the Hype Trainer ^_^. Happy to be back on the train, even after all this happened.

Can anyone inform me, as I'm actually confused on the specifics, when it comes to installing a game prior to booting it up, is the data being pulled from online or the disc?

It might be obvious, but it occurred to a friend and I that we're not entirely sure.

It's installing off the disc, not downloading it.

So, I mostly stay away from Xbox Topics. Partly because I don't have much nice to say, and partly because they all turn toxic so fast. It's really weird, and somehow exciting, to see there's people that are actually excited about the damn thing. Just look at all the avatars I've never seen before !!

All that aside, coming from this guy, I have a question I actually want an answer to.

How is the XB1 going to fit into your life? Games, capabilities, media, how will it slot in when you unbox it?

That hype train is goddamn amazing.

I procrastinated so I had no preorder.

I drove by Best Buy and saw the line at 6pm forming, so ran back home grabbed some stuff and headed back. Came back in about 40 minutes and was #32 out of #35 - got lucky. It was a cold night, but made a couple of friends in line and had a good time.....but never again.

360 has been a bit .... bare, to say the least for the last 2 years for me. I don't think there has ever been so many games in such a short period on any console I've owned that I want to play as much as Xbox One. It's got me back into gaming after losing enthusiasm (partly MS's fault, partly this gen lasting too long)

Coupled with Xbox Fitness and I can see me using it every day which I've not done with gaming since 2010.

My living room gaming and entertainment box that I can share and play with my family, it isn't of course replacing my gaming PC but it will definitely compliment it.

I'm hoping it is a lot more too, I understand some people just purely want a gaming machine but I want a entertainment device that can be a answer to all my media needs in the living room including gaming.

The whole gaming & entertainment system thing is so funny. So many gamers get pissed off about it, but all the PS4 reviews are complaining about how it's lacking in that department and it's all about the games. Why can't it be both? Nout wrong with that in this day and age.

I'm mostly fishing for people that are excited for the Kinect and other non-game applications. MS wants this thing in your living room. And I know that for me, it wouldn't work. My systems don't go in a living room, they go in my room. The room where all the technology and medium sized TV is. MS wants this box to be more than just videogames, and I wonder how many people are going to use it for more than that.

It's in my room as well, but then I have a big TV, Cable and lots of space :p

Kinect is a lot more useable than it used to be, you don't need to be that far away to take advantage of some simple yet great features.

Exactly, Sony can't really be that dumb. I convinced my sister to get a PS3 because of the Netflix player, I had it with my for 6 months. The Uncharted 3 bundle, the game is still sealed yet almost a year later my sister is still entertained. Consoles are a lot more than just games, specially now that Tablets exists.

Every time I see the commercial for the Xbox One it makes my chest hurt with excitement. I feel like Cartman, and just want to sleep until the midnight launch :p

After seeing tons of PS4 stuff today, I'm really glad I decided to wait for the X1. Not because it's bad, it just doesn't appeal to me personally.

I'm actually excited for Kinect this time around along with the slickness of the UI and multitasking/snap.

That and Killer Instinct.

It's funny, I was more hyped for PS4 as a console but it has no games I wanna play till Infamous yet I have no hype for Xbone as a console but Forza and Dead Rising 3 look amazing.

Nice the Train is back. I was thinking about this earlier today. If you remember please throw me on there.

Truth be told you should change it to a roller coaster. Lord knows is been one hell of a ride for fans of the system to get to this point.

But we have some great games to play day one and from all the videos I've seen the OS is slick. Cant wait for next Friday!

I have a question, can you purchase an extended warranty from Microsoft, or just the retailer you buy from? If so how much is it and for how long?

These bricked PS4's have got me worried, even if mine is fine for a year knowing my luck it'd break on the 13th month ...
