It matters a great deal. Depending on which hand you have the ball in, you'll either get shutdown defensively with no clear path to create a shot, or you'll have no room to setup a play depending on where you are on the court.

Then this will indeed be amazing.

Only getting one game on disc at the midnight launch at Gamestop (just so I have something to play when I pick it up at midnight, well that and DR3 will not be released on the store in Germany) and will put all the other games like NFS Rivals, AC4, Ryse, Crimson Dragon and FIFA in the download queue. Forza 5 Limited should be in the mail Friday morning.

So you're from Germany? I read Saturn Berlin is exclusively launching on midnight, which Gamestop also does this?

It looks like its just stamped on, I would imagine rubbing it kinda hard with a jean like material would make it come off. Not a fan of it either, d-pad looks alright.

I doubt you can remove it since it looks like quality "paint" on it. If anything get another controller,you probably will eventually right?

I can't believe we're going to be playing this in less than a week. First time I've found myself wishing the weekend away so that Thursday night approaches all the faster.

Quite lucky how things have turned out really - going to pay off everything I want on Thursday early evening at Game, stroll to the cinema with the missus to take her to see the Hunger Games sequel, than back off to Game once we've finished to join the queue and get my new toy. Then off home, she can go to bed, and I'll likely still be playing when she leaves for work in the morning. BLISS!

Honestly, anything that's in the realm of something colorful and isn't desperate to take itself too seriously. Get back to what Rare does well. In a funny way this Kinect Sports stuff may help bringing Rare back to where they need to be. Just have fun and work on some wacky ideas.

I have this weird feeling (I am a 100% Sony guy BTW).

The XMB has been around since the PSP in 2004, it's amazing how little Sony deviates from their UIs. The XMB is even on Sony Blu-Ray players too.

Yes I am. Gamestop Rathaus Essen does this. It is up to the store manager if they wanna open the store at midnight, they are allowed to do so.

They are not stiff, they feel mostly the same. The one thing that's bugging people is the pressure point. You can't just put your finger around the top edge like you do on the 360 one and press down anywhere - it has a specific area that's "pressable" - that sounds way worse than it actually is, you just have to adjust your fingers and you will get used to it in some minutes.

Brad saying "a chore to use" is really mind boggling to me.

Doubt it will just rub off. It'd have to be taken off with nail polish remover or something I'd imagine, but then that is treading on ruining the controller. I am sure at the end of the day I won't care that much about it, I just want it in my hands.

And I tend to use controllers pretty long. I have only had 3-4 this whole generation and that is because: Xbox 20GB, traded in for Xbox S250GB, and then a friend gave me a Halo 4 controller for Christmas last year.

I agree with you after spending some time with my PS4 yesterday and today. Maybe it was because of the OS freezes I was experiencing tainting my experience but I'm really looking forward to the Xbox One next week.

I'm very much on board with MS's vision of entertainment. I even have a windows phone. They've come a long way in making everything work well together.

I think the "tv in" aspect will click once it gets out there in people's hands.

I believe in the past months Microsoft had some trouble trying to convince some consumers as to why should they get the Xbox One. The implementation of DRM was something that even after they removed that, may haunt them for quite some time. To me, I still believe that what really matters in the end are games. All of them, exclusives or not and most important: never forget to have fun with them, because that's the point of playing a videogame. As we have seen lately there have been some really "consoles wars" on GAF and in my more places (but I only care for GAF and it's GAFfers).

I think that, we all should focus on keeping a polite, mature and proper discussion in here. It's great when we all have fun, no matter the platform. I owned but 360+Kinect and PS3 this current gen and it was amazing. Great times are coming for both Sony and Microsoft, yet I feel that we, as gamers, consumers and forum members should also do our part to keep this place the best place to be to talk and discuss what we like the most: games & the gaming industry. I hope we can manage to achieve that friendly community in here without judging other's tastes based on games or consoles preferences, or mock because one can't afford all games or all consoles and so on. By doing this we will have our fun and the mods can rest for a bit on the banning members too. Everybody can win in here.

As to myself I can't get the Xbox One right now. Even if the consoles won't be releasing in here, there's a local console that will get some units and I could order from Amazon.uk but having too much obligations (health and others) and less disposable income forced me to skip Xbox One for a good time. As a huge Forza fan, seeing that Limited Edition with the Steelbook sure is hard to pass. But that's not the worst, what I'm really going to miss is the amazing and friendly FORZA-GAF Community which always have been unique not to forget that they create amazing paint jobs on cars. That game is going to be truly missed but bills & health comes first, right?

To all those getting the Xbox One Day one I hope you can have a wonderful time. It's great to be here with you all sharing and discussing a new generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony. I hope you all can have great fun with the games and I wish you the best for having a unit without hardware or software issues since it's something we are all scared about on launch day. I will be waiting for impressions, checking those nice pick-up posts and keep a look on the "Show your gaming setup" thread too so I can keep gathering inspiration from a clean minimalist look on my place. Have fun y'all, I'll be around checking those impressions with this fine Community filled by many great fellow GAFfers!

I am not too fond of it either, but it doesn't seem to be removable.

My choice for multiplatform games will be based first on framerate/bugs, if not issues with One version I guess I will go with that version, because Xbox Live platform and controller.

Controller is no longer a factor for me now the DS4 is so good. Honestly I think game performance will largely be a wash too. As always it will come down to where my friends are and I suspect Xbox will still have the edge here.
