Was at the MS store today asking about the rain check list I'm on for XB1. Said they changed things up put down $50 (in gift card) he entered all my info and now I'm on the "priority release" list which ensures I get a Day One edition at launch as long as I come in on Friday to get it. So anyone looking for somewhere to get one go to a MS store and see if you can do it there.

Seriously though, it [360] broke down a lot, three times just outside of warranty so they cost me like a hund'd bucks a pop, plus all the waiting and shipping. I also got jealous of the free loot I saw other people getting on PSN+ when I paid for XBLG just for basic functionality.

I could live with all that, though, I think MS' attempts at taking focus away from gaming and all the no used games stuff damaged my image of them. They may build the faith back but right now poor faith abounds. I'm not interested in console wars and I hold nothing against someone for preferring XB1.

That said, I may need to pick one up soonish anyway if we end up porting Ghost Song to it. The apparent indie friendliness of MS this time around (and last time around, to some degree) makes this a real possibility.

Halo 4 has some awesome reload animations with the Forerunner weapons. It's especially awesome when you first pick up the weapons and the assemble themselves around the Chief's hand.

Some games will be available Tuesday. It sounds like all first party games won't be available until Friday though.

I believe most of the third-party games come out on Tuesday (the 19th). I know BF4 does, not sure when Dead Rising comes out.

Got the play and charge kit today


Thing is tiny and doesn't weigh much. Rated at 1400 mah. The Micro usb cord is really long, looking forward to using it to charge my Xbox one controller

I hope there'll be some unique exclusive games for Xbox One. I basically don't like Halo, Gears, Forza or Fable which are Microsofts main stable.

But it looks promising anyway with motion control stuff like Kinect Sports Rivals and Remedys Quantum Break. Can't wait to see more of Insomniacs and Black Tusks game.

Microsoft probably inteded Ryse to be the next Gears. But rest assure there will be more exclusives coming next year.

Haha, me too. I just saw them the other day when I was moving old console games around. Of course my favorite Original Xbox game was Phantom Dust.

I have been playing my PS4 all weekend, but I am super hyped for the Xbox One launch. There are more games I am interested in playing on it. I also have two friends getting it and Forza so it should be a blast. DR3 is another one and I plan to play the whole thing co-op. Crimson Dragon (from creator of Phantom Dust), Killer Instinct, and maybe Ryse and Zoo Tycoon too.

Yes, most 3rd party games are going to released prior to Friday, but 1st party games (Forza, Ryse & Dead Rising) have a release date of Friday. In the TRU Advertisement, they show a lot of games available Tuesday/Wednesday, with 1st party listed as Friday.
