Xbox One- what would it take to get YOU to buy one ?

Probably nothing. 360 was pretty much a Halo 3 box for me but I have 0 interest in anything 343 does with the series anymore.

Me to get a LOT more free time and interest in gaming. I just can't justify more than one console anymore as I can't even keep up with games on one with work and life and other hobbies that often take priority over gaming.

if we're talking about that one magical non-existent game that'll get me to buy a xbone right away? hmmm... It Came from the Desert (good) remake!

I buy most multiplatforms on PC, with all the advantages those usually have.

I owned all three consoles of the past generation. This time, I have yet to get a Xbone or a PS4. Simply put, those either need to have a lower price point, or more exclusives as to justify their current price point to me.

I have no interest in Halo or Sunset Overdrive. Dead Rising 3 was a big plus for me, but now it's coming to PC. I'd really like to play Killer Instinct with my friend, though. So in its current state, assuming nothing arrives that piques my interest and solely for a Killer Instinct machine...I'd say 250 $, with 2 controllers bundled + at least Killer Instinct Season 1 pre-installed. Maybe 350 $ish if it comes with a Kinect.

I guess it will have to be a big price drop and Halo 5 release.

I'm thinking £200, which is probably a few years off. But it would have to be exclusives only as PS4 is my platform for multiplatform games.

To be honest, either a rock bottom price (~$200), permanently free xblive, or a bundle with a few games that I'm interested in.

A combination of 1 and 3 got me to bite on an OG xbox, and I mostly enjoyed the experience, but the XB1 doesn't have the power advantage the OG xbox did. It's a good system, but I'm more interested in the PS exclusives and I can play most of the games I'm interested in on a ps4.

Well, it's nothing but a device to play the exclusive games I can't play on the PS4 as I will not ever buy any third party software for it. So, I'm waiting on the games(halo, sunset, QB), but a price cut down to 349.99 would also be welcome.

I Really wish MS would not have fucked up the hardware design and made a decent machine spec wise that could hang with the PS4. Too bad that's going to hang over their heads the entire generation.

There is not much they can do. I already have a ps4 and a PC.

Maybe if Gta VI would be exclusive I would consider buying one.

And without a pc there would be even less reasons, because I obviously want to play the best version of the multiplats.

The same thing with every console: enough enticing exclusives to justify the asking price.

It probably needs to be something similiar to Fallout 4, from a first party developer so that the likelyhood of a PC version is slim or none.

Good games isn't enough, it must really be one or more "must have!!1" title(s).

I was absolutely 50/50 on which console to buy since PS4 and XB1 were announced. Literally, the only thing that swayed me was the price - £75 extra for an XB1 was just insane, considering that I have no interest in Kinect. I bought a PS4 and that's me decided.

The only way I'd buy an XB1 now is if PS4 tumbles and misses out on loads of great new games - I'd then sell it and buy an XB1.

More exclusives.

I would buy it for Quantum Break and Sunset Overdrive but i know these games sooner or later will be ported to PC.

I'm fine with my combination PC+PS4 and probably WiiU in the future.

Since i live in Swede they have to release it first. Then somehowmake me forget that whole DRM thing, TVTVTV sport sport and Kinect.
If they do that i would buy one if it cost around 100$ with a few games, free online since i already pay for PS+ i wont pay for Xboxlive and NO kinect. If Kinects in the box then its a no go.

Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break and Killer Instinct!

I will get my Xbox One without Kinect on 5 September with 2 free games.

FIFA 15 and Forza 5. Really nice of MS.

Backwards Compatibility is all. Otherwise, they have reverted all the decisions that I disagreed with including the bundled Kinect.

It needs more games. I can't justify putting down 400$ for a console when I already own a PC and a PS4. I really wanna play MCC but man...
Edit: I'd buy an xbone if a new Conker or remake got announced, wouldn't even hesitate.

I've said this before, $299, maybe throw in a free game game (MCC for example) and I'd jump in this year. I might also considrer $349 if it included Kinect.

A decrease in the price for Gold (to account for its lower value) would be good too. More actual exclusives also.

Also, waiting to see Scalebound gameplay.

At this point, they've fixed most everything I originally disliked about it. Certain games still have online/cloud-only restrictions, so I feel like I'd have to do extra research before buying any XBO games (and really, it's not much different with PS4). Outside of that, everything is looking good to me.

I'll probably bite the bullet when Killer Instinct (retail) comes out. I'll wait if a price drop is coming soon after or something.

I will buy one if Microsoft relaunches it as a PC with Windows 8 dual boot. That way, I can play LoL, Dota 2 and the rest of the Steam games along with the usual console releases.

A hybrid console/PC with mouse and keyboard will sell millions and millions. Now do it, Microsoft.

Just need some extra cash. I'd have one right now instead of a PS4 if I didn't fall for all the pre-launch doom & gloom that plagued it. Fell for it like a sheep and it ended up being BS. Still irks me.

End of generation, once all the single player exclusives are out and cheap.

Not buying LIVE, and it makes no sense to buy it any earlier for single player games.

Absolutely nothing. Well maybe a pay-raise. I don't have the time and money to devote to another console. I've got a WiiU, PS3, PSV, 2DS and PS4. Yeah. I don't have time for another. I certainly can't afford to buy more games and another yearly subscription.

1-2 killer apps (for me). It doesn't take much to get me to buy a console. Xbox 360 completely failed at that, there wasn't a single exclusive that scored well, wasn't timed, and in a genre I liked.

I almost pulled the trigger for the Fable games, since I loved the first on the PC but the general consensus was that it went downhill.

So basically, Sunset Overdrive (if it turns out well) and one other quality game (action/adventure or RPG).

Nothing since my condition will never be met. I refuse to pay $60 a year for both a Xbox one or PS4. I went with the PS3 specifically for that reason last generation. I just can't stand the thought of paying for the privilege to pay for my internet, especially since all I care about is actually connecting to other players and couldn't care less about cross chat, messaging, trophy/achievement syncs, cloud junk, online marketplace, leaderboards, perks I do not care about, ect.

Feels like a scam and increases the lifetime costs of a console higher than it would be for a high-mid tier PC anyways. Really, what's the point when exclusives for both the big two are usually just shooters anyways that I don't find interesting.

There was a bit there where I had the money saved and up and was ready for MS to sell me on a Xbox One. Theoretically, that argument would have been made by an intelligent company line that showed the nonsense of the launch was behind it, and a large slate of exciting exclusives I needed the console to play. MS's E3 came and went with such a sputter than it had me rethinking whether or not this would be the first gen in a long time I wouldn't own all the consoles. Over the following months, watching several of the few MS exclusives end up on PC pretty much solidified this feeling. I put my money toward my first PC build, and that's pretty much been the final nail in the coffin. Will I miss playing Halo? Maybe, if it takes a step away from Halo 4 and returns to a better form, but besides that, there's not much else I see getting excited about. I honestly don't know that MS will sell me a console this gen, at least certainly not for many years and several price drops.

They had me at halo but crackdown, phantom dust, scalebound, titanfall etc are just icing on the cake. Phantom Dust is probably my favorite game of all time thus far and people who like games with unique design really should get excited.
