Tough one, why not both?

RE2 REmake is probably the better of the two on the whole, so I'll recommend that first (though I really enjoy 7 too, so you can't go wrong either way)

Its also going to be a pain technically with cross gen games, you will have xbox one s, one x, series s, series x, ps4, ps5 and then all of the other software modes. I think i might sign up to their patreon.

I think they'll just continue doing their job, dropping the vids/articles, and moving on, completely ignoring the ongoing shitstorm between the fanboys in the comment sections and on gaming forums. They'll be fine.

If I buy an Xbox Series X at my place, and buy my son a Series S for his Mom's house, can he play his games/saves at my house when he comes over by logging into his user account?

If I download his games (under his account) to my console?

Cloud saves are automatic and will follow him wherever he logs in.

There are 2 ways to go about the other part of your question. If he is connected to Xbox Live he will be able to play his games on any Xbox. If one of the consoles has spotty internet or won’t always connect to Live he could set that Xbox as his home console and have access to his games even when not connected to Live.

If your X is set as his home console you would also have access to his games and in reverse if you set the S as your home console he would have access to yours.

I’d honestly recommend dropping/reducing coverage of the older platforms, as that’s hardly where DF’s audience will be anymore. If something has to go (and nobody wants that, but...) that makes the most sense.

And of course, if they don't do particular content then they get panned for it (a video on a video on a video of a PS5 teardown, for example)

I'd rather they prioritised quality over quantity. I really appreciated the purple patch where they systemically showed a majority of One X enhanced games and let you see the advantages over One and 4Pro - but this is a whole new level of content and demand.

Definitely it starts with leaving current gen behind, though.
