Steam is great. Having a Kinect equipped XBone in my media setup is great. One does not cancel out the other.

But we come to the last genius that really have to be a mystic to think about these things in 2015. The online gaming fee. ie you buy Titanfall? Plants vs Zombies garden warfare? If you do not have a subscription to Xbox Live your game will come to nothing. It is useless to justify the quality of service than the competition Sony, the game in 2015 OnLine NOT PAYING ANYWHERE, CUTE !!
You compare this to Sony, yet their online service is almost identical.

Xbone does have a future. Just because it's not selling as well as the PS4 doesn't mean that it won't. It probably won't get some Japanese games here and there but it will get every western multiplatform for sure plus MS exclusives.

Always thought this was an odd statement to prove the success of the Xbox One. 360 was supply constrained for a long time and wasn't as concentrated on US and UK like Xbox One. Without supply problems 360 would likely be way ahead of Xbox One in the same time frame.

I love the Xbox One controller. And the instant on feature is great too.
I never said it had no future, I'm not OP, I'm saying it hasn't shipped 11m, because AMD confirmed that between both consoles, there is less than 30m shipped on jan 20th and PS4's 18.5m on jan 5th is sold through to customers with ~.5m on store shelves as it's readily available.

It's also didn't release in as many countries as the PS4 did. I only bought an Xbox One in October when it released in my country, before that the PS4 released almost a year earlier. So this is something to take into account.
My biggest thing with the Xbox One will be exclusives, and they need to keep them exclusive, not port them over to PC like they do with most of them.
The future is bright for all the consoles as far as I am concerned, as long as I get good games to play I am happy.

Unless the system is abandoned, it has a future. Even Wii U has a future, albeit a first-party centric future and not much else.
The system with no future could be the Vita, arguably. All of it has are ports that are better elsewhere and indie games that are usually on other platforms, too...
