Xena: Warrior Princess 25th Anniversary

Even at the time, the show was always extremely cheesy. It was like 40% action, 40% comedy, 20% lesbian sexual tension. And it was filmed all in New Zealand!

Lucy Lawless was also great in Battlestar Galactica. She honestly gets hotter as she gets older, somehow.

Loved this show along with Hercules back in the day. Solid story telling and entertaining , didn’t hurt that she was extremely hot.

Used to love watching this and Hercules as a kid. I think they were usually featured back to back with crossovers. I barely remember it.

As a HUGE Buffy fan, I'm sure its worth checking out.

Huh, I was literally watching the first season today without knowing it was an anniversary. Loved this show (and Hercules of course) as a kid. Though I was never able to catch it in it's entirety before the internet became commonplace - it was shown here years later after it ended it's run in the west.

This was a really fun show.

I feel like this and Hercules sent me down a lifetime road of loving genre stuff like Buffy and Supernatural, and all the awesome stories, humor, or fourth wall breaking stuff that comes with them.

I don’t really recall any other shows like that at the time, or before then, but I was so young, but I get the sense that they were trailblazers and inspired a lot of creators after the fact as well.

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
What a coincidence, I was just watching the "Debt" episodes. They're my favorites.

I really enjoyed this show as a kid. I saw Hercules first, and since I'm male I guess I should have stuck with that. But Xena was just SO much better, in every way.

Is it weird I hard a crush on Gabrielle and not on Xena? ;) Callisto was a pretty hot villain as well.

Anyway the show was much more enjoyable than Hercules thanks to a better chemistry between the leads and better stories / humour.

This thread is making me nostalgic for the 90's, I loved Xena for many reason, such a fun show, I liked Hercules as well. Will have to give them both a rewatch at some point.

I'm really surprised this hasn't gotten a reboot or revival of some sort. Great show. I'd say I probably prefer Hercules at the end of the day.

Sinbad was good too. The women were hotter as well.

This was my Friday to go. I'd have popcorn, debbies, soda, and throw myself a 1-man party. They came on super late like almost midnight, after Conan, and I'd record them on VHS. This was one of my middle school addictions.

Gabrielle was hot to me as a teen.

But as an adult watching these shows where everyone is wearing ultra pushup padded bras, Alexandra Tyding's actually had the meat and the better body compared to Gabrielle.

Xena has big narutal boobs too, you can see her in spartacus.
