Don't feel bad. I like it. Definitely better than the dross that was XCX.
Go and play the original Xenoblade Chronicles now! It is so much better than X. No wonder Nintendo distances itself from X and goes back to the roots.
You will thank me and everyone else telling you this later.
But I would have prefer a new Baten Kaitos game tho or even a HD remake of the first two games at least.

TBH, a Baten Kaitos 1+2 HD Remaster + new VOs for the first game would be A GREAT THING
beside the weird framerate lol, my only problem is that the characters look...too young ._.

XBX isn't even relevant here. This isn't a sequel to XBX, it's a sequel to the first Xenoblade, which had a great, unique art style that was held back by the hardware. This could've been a chance to see that art-style fully-realized in HD, but instead they decided to switch to the most generic anime designs ever.

I personally liked XCX more than XC. Also seems like a waste to toss the entire setup of that game out the window for this. Nothing here is so amazeballs that it seems worth it just to dump X. Strange direction this took tbh.
I didn't mind all the designs for XCX. It was definitely hit and miss though.
Im actually one of the few that love the voice actors in the first game since you play a guardian angel, I always found it cool that's like you hear them from far away.
IMO the voice actors aren't the problem but it was the sound equipment or the way that it was recorded or played that really diminish the quality of the audio in my opinion

8-4 did one of the best localizations of all time with BKO. Just give it to them and have them redo it.

Thank god they are revisiting this concept. My favorite thing about Xenoblade.
I wonder if this is the same creature we see flying later in the trailer? There could be multiple giant being worlds to explore.

Yeah this is what I'm thinking, unless they are translating as it was being made. I think most of these late 2017 games will end up being 2018 for NA/EU

Same. I'll be 23 or 24 when this game comes out in 2018, I don't want to be seen playing as a goddamn 10 year old or whatever in public. Like what the hell is wrong with them? Why would would they do that anyway? Who enjoys playing as kids in their games? No one, that's who. smh
Edit: Main character isn't too bad actually, but the rest I don't like.

I think Xenoblade was my favourite game of the last generation, so I'm incredibly hyped for this one. I never played XCX (I sold my Wii U), I wonder if we'll see a port of it.
I'll be surprised if it hits in 2017 but if it does it just means I'll be buying a Switch all the sooner, though it is tempting from that Zelda trailer.
Is it too much to ask for British voice acting again this time? It added so much to the charm of Xenoblade, which was sorely missing in XCX (from what I saw).

It was how those designs translated to 3D that bothered me(XC has been this issue too albeit less noticeable). So while XC2 is far and away the best in terms of adapting the art to 3D I still feel like it has more of generic anime look compared to its predecessors at least from what I've seen so far.

The character is one of the worst i've ever seen.
I have my doubts this'll actually release in 2017. But I'm willing to wait.
