So happy they're leaving XCX behind, so happy this title came out of nowhere.

Biggest and best surprise so far. Gonna have to get a Switch for this game.

Seriously, what a great and unexpected reveal.

Is this a continuation of the first game though? How does that work. Also I sure hope Takahashi does some explaining to us XCX fans.... I'm excited but feel a bit mixed overall right now.

Gave me the feeling of a Chrono Trigger/Secret of Mana with a current gen budget. Music and style looked great.

This is my only concern. I preferred the original Xenoblade over X so I'm happy about this announcement but at the same time, X was left with so many unanswered questions.

I agree 100% with you. I can't wait for Xenoblade Chronicles to get a proper sequel (though X is a really good game, the characters, story, and world were not nearly as good as Xenoblade).

There was something about this instantly recognizable as Xenoblade (or at least something Monolith) just from the running animations and viewing angle, though it didn't hit me as a sequel until we saw the quasi-Monado.

Considering localization and the time since XCX was shipped in Japan, in the west I'm not expecting this until 2019.

Thank God they're going back to the much more traditional story-driven JRPG nature of the first Xenoblade, especially after the massive disappointment XCX was. Looking forward to this.

Happy for Mitsuda and ACE but going back to traditional fantasy is just ehhhhh. The setting in XCX had huge potential, it could have been a first step in doind something on the level of complexity of Xenogears/saga. This seems to fall too much in the samey shonen mold of many other jrpgs. Eh. Hopefully it will be a surprise like Monado was.
