OH C'MON!
I pity the voice actors that will have to record all those lines againReggie, the Treehouse, and NOA in general just want to see us suffer.
Ahhh sometimes I remember I still gotta play this game...

Good to know
Being a level higher guaranteed a win in Xenoblade
I can't speak for this game because I haven't played it but that's not the total case with the first one. They are a few lower level enemies that attack in groups and can easily kill you and your party if you don't take them seriously. They're were times were I had to kill a few than retreat to fully recover to kill the rest.
Well that's the case I fond with the first Xenoblade.

Its been a while since I played he first but I wouldn't doubt you
Single non story boss monsters should've been easy to kill if you're at level or higher iirc
Are there any shots of the skill tree? If there is one that is.
can you list all the things X improves upon XB?Just picked up my copy this morning, and I'm already in love. Traversal is so much fun with a fast run and a crazy high floaty jump. Just got to NLA.
There's a class tree, and then skills work like xenoblade 1 within each class.
Are the side quests more fleshed out this time around?
In the first game the background story was so superficial i just ended up hitting the A button as fast as possible to skip the text. And in the end the most of them amounted to kill/collect x amount of something.
It's better to have less but more involving ones than hundreds of shallow repetitive works.

in particular: quest system, battles

PS4 version confirmed!
Didn't someone cut a video like that after E3? Or am I having a fever dream?
It'd be hard to get the skill stuff on one screenshot because what skills you can use is dependant on what class you are. You just get them at a set rank in that class. Are there any shots of the skill tree? If there is one that is.

Most important beginner's tip IMO: Talk to the female BLADE next to the quest board to upgrade your field skill when your BLADE level levels up, Make sure you upgrade the mechanic first(the first one), since it affect your ability of placing data probes.
i haven't yet unlocked quests.
Battles seem smoother, and every character has two weapons (melee and ranged) that you can switch between. The player starts in the drifter class which is assault rifle and knife. All the other classes branch out from there. I'm still not sure which class I'm going to choose.
Some skills require specific weapons, and you'll autochange to the required weapon when activated. The battle UI also tells you your relative position to the enemy (eg. Side/ranged), which I'm sure will come into play later.
Treasure boxes (which appear as all kinds of things, from wreckage to life pods to alien biological...things) align to a type of skill (mechanical, biological, etc.) and a skill level. I assume opening boxes will raise level, but there are already boxes in NLA above my level.
Oh, that's good to know!

This is the kind of game I would like to play and get into, unfortunately I don't want to buy a Wii U because this would be the only game I have.
