It feels wrong...an RPG such as Xenosaga, with some of the main draws being cinematics and presentation (for me at least), being reduced to this simple-looking 2D game. I feel there's too much lost in the transition...but then, I guess this is a game made for people who don't want to play the original PS2 games, or somehow don't like the PS2 games...but seeing as it's kinda made in preparation for ep 3 on PS2, that doesn't make much sense. Unless they release ep 3 for DS as well.

The only thing that could possibly redeem this piece of trash is panty shots, but that's unlikely given the 2D artwork instead of 3D with "unintentional" camera angles.

God, this game wouldn't be so bad if they just started from scratch and made a whole new entry into the series.

No one want to replay Xenosaga 1 + 2, espeically with subpar 2D graphics on a handheld.

It's not. This updated reveals a new character to the series. His name is Pierre Ruryk. He is a member of Parliament and the leader of the Salvator Group. He is loyal to Gaignun and the Foundation.

Those both look a lot better than Xenosaga. I don't like being able to say that.

Xenosaga was slow and plodding, with a terrible battle system.

Someone finish Xenogears, which was actually pretty good, or let it die.

Sparse, cold spaceship corridors don't really seem suited to the whole 2D tiled style, if you ask me... I hated Xenosaga with a passion so I think it's pretty safe to say I'm gonna skip this. Would have much rather seen the oft-rumored Baten Kaitos DS, not to mention it would have been a *MUCH* better fit for the hardware.

Im really interested in this. Ive been wanting to get into the Xenosaga games like forever but I just can't. I thought that maybe in 2D they're not so frustating.
