Xbox Series S owners now have the option of a "Designed for Xbox" portable screen, which attaches directly to the console. The Upsec Gaming xScreen isn't a new product. In fact, it started life as a Kickstarter project back in 2021 and reached its funding goal in just 20 minutes. The following year, the xScreen was selling for $250 and receiving good reviews despite the high price.

To give you an idea of how good the portable display is, check out this video of the xScreen being used to play Elden Ring:

The Designed for Xbox Partner Hardware Program offers licensed partners access to Xbox branding guidelines and technical specifications. For consumers, it offers the peace of mind that any accessory displaying the "Designed for Xbox" tag has passed through the Xbox Quality Assurance team and a barrage of tests and validation procedures.

Anyone interested in purchasing an xScreen can currently grab one at the discounted price of $209.99 (16% off). What you're getting is an 11.6-inch 1080p 60Hz IPS display that securely attaches to the Xbox Series S and folds shut when not in use. Sound is handled by two built-in speakers. Once fitted, the only cable you'll need is the one required to power the Series S, and for an extra $50, there's a travel case to go along with it which includes space for the Xbox power cable and a controller.

Yeah, only thing it now requires is an Xbattery or X-long-as-fuck-extension-cable.

Seriously, this reminds me of the days of portable Xbox 360s especially being white. And back then it was pretty cool to pull off. But is there even one person who cares about doing this now? I mean you can play Xbox games on a laptop that already has its own screen and battery. And will be much more flat and more portable than this.

Yeah, only thing it now requires is an Xbattery or X-long-as-fuck-extension-cable.
Xbox users also appreciate AA batteries, and there could be a version that runs on 30 AA batteries. It would be great to be able to replace 30 batteries and continue where you left off in the middle of the game without having to search for a charging cable.

This screen looks great btw, cool idea.

The price is too high. A display that size and at that quality shouldn't be over $150 tops, IMO. I guess the license drives it up.
