They've never come close to delivering a decent game in this series.

I can't prove your statement false, but can you prove your statement true? I doubt it highly.

Based on media exposure and culture, I would say SM has ED beat by a long shot. Ask anyone on the street, more will know the name Spider-Man, than Ash or Evil Dead.

Raimi's already confirmed he will be directing ED4 after Spid3y- and inbetween he's producing that fucking Evid Dead 'revisioning'.

Regardless of how bad that "revisioning" looks, I shall still support it as its box office success may affect the budget for Evil Dead 4.

I think this is really going to depend on how well Spider-Man 3 does and whether or not Sony asks Raimi to do 4. Raimi said he would do as many as he was asked to do.

Also, if Tobey and Kirstin don't decide to do 4, I would think that Raimi would have a less likelihood of doing it himself. I think Tobey is afraid of being type cast like Christopher Reeve was.

I sure as hell hope they drop Dunst for 4 as she clearly would rather be doing other projects (and I hate her as MJ ) Elisha Cuthbert as Gwen! Please!

As for Tobey being typecast, well, you'd think he'd be more concerned with the amount of MONEY being Spider-Man brings in. And, after all, who wouldn't want to be Spider-Man?
