The two songs sound nothing alike.
Part I has more in common with Blk Skn Head than Part II and even then it's not close.
Still can't believe what he did to Home. The mixtape version was fucking perfect. The whaling woman in the sample added to the whole message and mood of the song. Then for the album he's got some wack beat with a lame as hell chorus. Why add the stupid chorus? Why change the beat? It was raw and powerful then he changed it to tempered and formulaic.
The bullhorn effect used on his voice and the rhythm of his delivery.

when youre on a major it does. i cant count how many tracks got nixed/held back/altered because they were waiting on samples to clear. pick an artist and i guarantee it's happened.

Well, album art looks to be a picture of Kanye's face in gold being ripped into something else. Then when you mirror it - it makes a face screaming up. The second picture was just done by a fan though - so that might not be the intention. I should note that in my post.
The first picture is said to be the official album art. It was done by Condo (same guy that did MBDTF).
EDIT: Might not be Kanye (look at the hair). But point is, still a picture of a man's face being ripped apart.
New style of cd. You need to apply heat to it to return to its original state.

The mirroring was just done by a fan. But I believe what it shows is, an under view of the face screaming. So the neck comes together (that is the thin part) - and now the face is whole (vs a side angle) and he's screaming up. Just ignore the mirrored image. Might not even be the attention of the album art - just something a fan saw.
EDIT: Basically, the album art if half the face, with the other half being ripped apart. But when you mirror the image, it brings the face back together. That's all that second image was (sorry, I'm kind of bad at explaining things).
Oh god. I remember pre-ordering that, and then having it canceled. I was so mad they never made a vinyl version again.

neither. doesn't even look like it got a bootleg.
I don't believe it ever got a release. I just know Def Jam put up pre-orders for the vinyl version, then like a week before it was supposed to come out, we all got emails saying the vinyl edition had been canceled.

He was doing a special signing at a Virgin store in Los Angeles to promote the album. I got two copies signed.
He was actually really nice (despite you thinking he would be an ass).
Well, I don't think Ye really wants to be at those kind of things. Especially when they do them right in the middle of heavy marketing/promotion. Often he'll do a signing right after doing a talk show for instance - so he hasn't slept in a day. In general, he seems pretty detached from the business side of things, and really just wants to make music, and play it.
Not that I'm excusing him. I mean, he shouldn't be doing signings if he really has no interest in them. But when I happened to meet him, he was pretty cool. He talked, and at least did a good job pretending he was interested lmao.
But I wouldn't be surprised if others had bad experiences with meeting him. I guess I just got lucky.
