1080i wont be displayed in progressive, and no, its not 29fps afaik, its 30lines per sec instead of 60, so you get a full refresh and no scanlines in 720p, but scanlines in 1080i
framerates in games stay the same, ie gt4 wont be running in 30fps in 1080i
