Sounds great, thank you so much!Tried the backer code earlier with one and an otherwise crummy PC (4GB RAM, dual-core CPU) and it looked surprisingly good and ran well, pretty much like the PS4 version visually, though not quite locked 60fps. Yours should be more than enough for that methinks.
People complaining are fools. That's legit part of the draw of the gameI would have hated it if they dropped the gibberish voices.
Now that I'm past the intro, I'm hoping there's less sort of setup dialogue and I'll feel less inundated by unskippable "yip yap yi-yi-ya-yap" sounds. I'm also gonna mess with the options and see if I can find a happy medium for these camera settings. I'd at least love to be able to see my name in the credits.
Geez the Gloomy Gem Grotto was really frustrating.
One thing about the voices
I don't like Yooka's voice. The voice doesn't really match his voice lines when jumping and stuff. Banjo's "guh, yup, guh" was a lot better and sounded like how his actual voice in the game was. Yooka's voice is just boring and lacks personality.
Yesterday I rated the game an 8 but my opinion is starting to drop on it after being nearly done with the first two worlds. I would say this game is a great love letter to Banjo-Kazooie and its fans but in no way is it the successor I have been waiting 17 years for. They definitely listened to people on the number of collectibles, and it is great how much there is to do in the worlds, but there is so many bad design decisions and frustrating challenges all the time. Things like minecarts and Rextro's minigames shouldn't be so frustrating and I shouldn't be getting lost in the hub. My barometer for if the game was fucking great was if it beat Banjo-Tooie and instead I am looking way more fondly on Tooie. Still having a ton of fun with the game though so I don't have any Kickstarter remorse. I do hope the game gets a sequel and the team goes back to the drawing board instead of going the "bigger = better" approach.
On a 960m it CAN do 60 fps but will nose dive easily, at least in the opening area. I'm going to see if disabling V-Sync in-game and forcing triple buffering through the Control Panel helps, it seemed to feel better without the in-game V-Sync on at least. Is there bad stuttering on PC for anyone else when panning the camera (pretty much all the time that is)? I tried from Fastest to Fantastic or whatever it's called, same problem. The actual game seems to be running at 60fps but it's very stuttery, hard to explain. I'm at the very beginning.

Just finished that on my 4th try. Not as annoying as I thought it would be. It really helps to slow the roll as much as possible when platforming.Geez the Gloomy Gem Grotto was really frustrating.
Turning off in-game Vsync helped a lot on my end. Game is playable now! Still not buttery smooth but it's fine.On a 960m it CAN do 60 fps but will nose dive easily, at least in the opening area. An hour in and holy shit this like a soulless husk of my favorite game. It's like a sad attempt at trying to replicate the charm of Kazooie, but failing in almost every regard. Instead of being its own thing it settles on a poor imitation of what once made them great - and like, I get that the point was to make a game that returns to the form of the original Kazooie, but this does that in the most lazy, unpolished way imaginable.
Hoping it gets better than world 1 because damn this is terrible. I get how mega man fans must have felt with mighty number 9 and I hate that I'm saying that.
At least grant Kirkhope is still a badass
I can see why.One of the guys from Gamexplain went on a huge rant about that lol. I've been ignoring it for that reason
I thought about this, but I didn't really see another move helping out; just mostly rolling. It's super easy if you come back with one of the late game special moves you learn from Towzer.

Trust me, you don't. The gap in quality between this and MN09 is huge. If you think this is mediocre then you would detest Mn09.
World 1 is one of the weaker worlds IMO.

Idk, man. Few games have made me this sleepy right off the bat. And it's like, mega man fans had like 20 games lmao. Banjo fans got Kazooie which was great and Tooie which wasn't that great and that's it. Fast forward to the 360 days and the promise of a new Banjo game and they give fans the middle finger by turning it into a car Lego game. Years later, the original creators crowdfunding a "true sequel" to the original Banjo-Kazooie and...what we get is this. A stale, boring, lifeless clone that seems to miss the point entirely.Trust me, you don't. The gap in quality between this and MN09 is huge. If you think this is mediocre then you would detest Mn09.

I was okay with not getting it early, but I'm fairly miffed that it didn't arrive today. It's also annoying having no earthly clue if it's even been mailed yet.And I backed the game, but am still waiting for my physical copy to arrive.
I think I'm done with video game Kickstarters. This is the third that I've been burned when it comes to physical editions/rewards. There's no excuse for backers to not have the game before the general public whatsoever.
I got all of the pagies! I just have to find the health extender in the hub world and then I'm off to the final boss.
Yeah, not having any sort of tracking for the package just compounds my frustration. To make matters worse, they are sending them with a signature required so if me or my wife aren't home when it comes, they won't deliver it. We both have jobs and are gone during the day which is when most couriers make their rounds.I was okay with not getting it early, but I'm fairly miffed that it didn't arrive today. Didn't this come out today?
