Well I have been shopping around for a cheap 51cm flat screen TV for my room anyway I sore this telefunken set (a German brand) with S-video. It’s only $279AUD that’s $195US.

Should be good quality because my folks brought a telefunken back in like 1990 and it still works. Sound is not an issue it will be hooked up to my setreo.

The only problem is the design of the set isn’t as good the others I have seen, but it has S-video.

Anyway if you have made a similar purchase recently or know you’re TV’s post some alternatives.

I live in a PAL country too, I recently bought sony kv-21ct1, and I am extremely pleased with the image quality.

It has RGB scart input and anamorphic widescreen support, it is only mono (there is a more expensive stereo version), but since I output all my dvd/game music through my stereo that's not a problem. MAKE SURE YOU GET A RGB SCART CABLE. It makes a huge difference.

BTW, I thought they used inches for TVs pretty much everywhere, even in countries that use the metric system?

Nope, in west and middle Europe and Australia they use centimeters. In Finland TV and monitor sizes are the ONLY thing that we ever use inches on.

There are like two serious posts in this whole thread!

Stop posting penis size!

Oh and if you’re interest 13inchs around!

Think about that!

In Canada, since our TVs are like 99% import from other nations, we use inches despite using the metric system.

Picked up at 20" Flat Screen Panasonic Tau for $330 Canadian. S-Video (Which I take use in order to use my laptop as a DVD Player), 2 sets of AV Jacks, headphone jack...I love it.

But this is of no help to you. Just felt like talking about my TV.

I've got the stereo version of the Sony thorns mentioned, and it's fantastic. Only slight downside is that the second scart isn't wired for RGB.
