Your biggest accomplishment so far in life?

Accomplished:

- Sent my mother, last year, to the one place she's always wanted to go for her entire life (proudest accomplishment by far, seeing her finally experience something she wants after all her hardships was amazing).
- Went to the Himalayas. Saw K2 and Everest.
- Cleared my dad's debt of £70,000.
- Bought my own house at the age of 20 (3 bed, 2 baths, detached for £148,000 plus fees).
- Rode an elephant, and stared down a tiger... it was behind bars.

Hope to accomplish:

- Multi-millionaire by the age of 30 (confident about this).
- BJJ Black Belt. It's going to happen by the end of next year so I shall apologise to Michael R when it does. His accomplishment will be mine very soon.
- Publish a novel (will see how this goes, finding it very hard).
- Climb K2. Hopefully won't die. Last time I saw it was just preparation. I was playing mindgames. Next time, I conquer.
- Travel the world. I'll do this before attempting K2.
- Bungee jump, skydive, snowboard, and scuba dive.
- Create a video game (unlikely, but what the hell).

I'm 21 right now. Seeing my life in the past, how it is now and where it could go in the future is... humbling. I'm a very lucky person considering the past. I've left a few accomplishments off as they're illegal (related to fighting), and I think this post has enough which could be considered bragging. I've found working hard has helped me. A value my father inspired in me. It does not resolve everything, but it does help a lot. You want to become good at something? Practice. Thousands of hours. Certain things will be put on hold but it's worth it.

Being nominated for a BAFTA
Don't know if it's okay that I'm asking this, but would you mind elaborating on these? They sound interesting.

Were you not ortho?

lol no... I'm a newly mint ed lowly psychiatric intern.... About 15 in my class went into ortho though as that seems to be the new "IT" residency recently... I couldn't be a surgeon no matter how much i wanted to like it as couldn't handle/hated (not sure which honestly) the operating room setting for pretty much everything except trauma surgeries... Had awful rotations with one of my "outpatient experiences" consisting of rounding on ICU patients at 5 AM... How that is outpatient is beyond me...

GIST: nope not ortho, I'm to weak to be a surgeon and had terrible surgery experiences during my schooling...

-worked as game developer and R&D head for Major game company

I guess not quitting my job after the many times I very nearly have snapped at a manager or customer. I'm a very calm and patient person in general.

But that isn't really much of an accomplishment, so I guess I'd say, the fact that I've saved up enough and am about to finish paying off my car three years early.

Edit: and earned my hs diploma

Someone else said it, so I don't feel so bad now. I take pride in my GPA too! My high school GPA was pretty impressive... I got a 5.0 for one semester, and overall throughout high school never got anything below an A. I guess my biggest accomplishment was using that GPA to get into UC Berkeley. That's the university I'm headed to this fall.

The majority of my life I squandered the gift I was given, but definitely music is my biggest accomplishment. I've practiced, beaten myself down to force myself to always strive to improve, and finally just dropped everything to move somewhere bigger to actually take a shot at this.

I don't even care if I fail anymore (well thats BS, I would totally care, it would suck) but I would love to look back on my life and know I worked hard for something I truly loved.

That and the friends I've made in the past few years. I've got some pretty damn strong bonds with people and it has helped me get over a lot of the demons of my past. There are a lot of people that like me so damnit I've started liking me!

Well, to be fair, all your accomplishments are thinly disguised versions of "I made a lot of money"

Fuck yeah! I like this one! My close call was terrifying... just testicular though (had a thread before)

We were still watching it but then I ended up with a new doctor who is a fucking twat (and now I just moved so I have no Doctor) and ignored the health issues I had so I convinced myself it would never get any worse and kind of keep forgetting about it.

One day I should probably go in for my like... 2 year late checkup on it haha.

Still, you definitely have an awesome accomplishment :D

Finding and marrying my beautiful and lovely wife. Convincing her to marry me.
Getting into medical school in Canada... Hard man.

Glad to hear it was a close call, cancer is a BITCH.

The treatments defiantly weren't as bad as i thought they were going to be, worst part was all the needles, fucking hate needles. I just recently got my cath port removed which i hated because that means more pain killers and i don't like taking them, sure.. makes you feel good but they are addictive and i don't wanna go down that road.

And that won't be the end of those, i will have to get another lymph node removed when i go back to make sure everything is going good, hopefully they don't remove it from my neck area again because it was a pain in the ass to sleep for the first week.

But FUCK cancer, i never really was aware about it and never really cared about the cause but after getting it, i fully support those organizations and now donate all the time, it's a hell of a thing to go through, it's really tough on friends and family, i worried more for my friends and family then i did myself, first couple of days i did cry like a baby.

And to think it all started with what i thought was kidney pain, get yourselves check out on a regular basis, i put it off for 20+ years and my kidney area just wouldn't stop hurting and after 8 hours at the ER i got the news, to think if my kidney area didn't hurt me to the point where i rushed to the ER it could of grown to be much much worse.

I've made one graphic novel that I self published. That was forever ago though.

I'm about to be done with a smaller story printed in a big collection, that's gonna take the cake. Also, almost finishing college (1 year left with a ballin GPA, but in art, that doesn't matter at all, hah).
