I was awarded a trip to Laguna, California for my performance at work. Best time of my life besides the birth of my child.

Ritz Carlton, baby!

My greatest accomplishment saw this picture over my shoulder and screamed out "YEAH A BEACH! DADDY LET'S SWIM!" ha

Finishing university, marrying the woman of my life, still being married after 14 years together, getting the job of my dreams, exceeding at it, driving a fast car, being able to afford the commodities in life that I want and wearing a Rolex that was paid from own money before reaching the age of 40.

Getting a Masters Degree and over $90K in savings before 28 yrs old, taking care of my sick mother (on my own) before she passed

It was amazing huh? So many fish and beautiful things to see. Loved it. Snorkeled on the reefs off the Florida Keys last year, and while it was still a lot of fun, it couldn't hold a candel to the GBR!

Nice! And yes it was amazing. I was really surprised at how close the coral was. Next time I wouldn’t mind scuba diving....I'm from Australia, and I tend to forget just how lucky I am to be living here.

There are the family ones:
- Finding my perfect mate (we fell for each other super hard).
- Having a beautiful son.
- Getting a game testing job and going to E3 09.
- Saved my mother-in-law from being crushed by a piano (I get ridiculous presents now).

With those out of the way, I still have yet to top the moment I discovered a parking lot buried under a dirt patch in front of a battered women's shelter.

I was at someone else's eagle scout project and we had all parked by the side of the road because the place was so run down. I was taking a rest and leaning on a shovel when I hit stone. When I shoveled all the dirt off it, I found it was one of the parking blocks that stops cars from going further. I spend the rest of the day digging up the rest of the parking lot. The people of the building admitted that they never knew one was there and were very great full. The best part was we as a group, boy scouts, were hopefully able to rebuild some of the occupant's faith in men.

Performing Shakespeare on stage. I've done plenty of stage work, but the feeling of getting up there and being a part of some of the greatest works of all time is a feeling I'll never forget. Thinking about all the great performers that have taken on those roles throughout the years and knowing that in some small way my name is included in that always fills me with a sense of pride.

Graduated Valedictorian from high school, graduated Cum Laude from undergrad (I had the GPA requirement for Magna Cum Laude, but I couldn't fulfill the 'honors project' requirement b/c I work full time). Going into a PhD program at Georgia Tech.

  • Have played classical, flamenco, Brazilian, and jazz guitar for almost 12 years (since age 7).
  • Have recorded 4 CDs and plan to release a 5th one next year.
  • 4.0 GPA in high school (AP courses weren't offered at my high school, so it didn't go higher than 4.0).
  • 4.0 GPA this past semester in college. :D
  • Maintained PR connections with various game companies (Nintendo, SEGA, Capcom, Ubisoft, etc) and received review copies for around a year.

People who know me tell me I've done some "cool things" and stuff I should be "very proud of" but I guess I'm a bit flat in that not much really revs my motor. Oh well.

I was part of the top 75 employees that went to boracay for 3 days and 2 nights for free. It was my first trip to boracay and my first time to on a plane. It was great! I went there with my ex and made a lot of forgettable and unforgettable memories haha.

I was also part of the top 50 employees last year.

Cured cancer.
But that's relatively simple in my field.

Future goals:
--Obtaining the ability to operate on a perforated duodenal ulcer in a 79 year-old, treat all her complications in intensive care, and watch her leave the building in a wheelchair instead of a body bag. That's when I know I'm ready.
--Obtaining Grado RS1i
I didn't know you were gen surg. Good stuff, but neurosurg is where it's at bro. Nothing like clipping a ruptured aneurysm and see the patient go home totally intact! PGY4 and already hearing the golden hands comments. mwahaha. Now if I could get accepted for an endovascular fellowship, that'd be sweet...

P.S. I love my grados too. :)

Teaching 50 lessons in a month with social anxiety. I'm not sure if that's an accomplishment though since I failed the teacher's practice and have been told to not bother trying again.

I guess it was doing really well this last quarter. I took 24 units/6-upper division courses, and aced all of them except 2 (B+). People said I couldn't do it (even my academic advisor), but I proved them all wrong.

Getting good grades is probably the best feeling out there.

Nothing. I've accomplished nothing so far in life, meaningful or not.

Goal: to not be such a loser. HarSon and some of the other posters are inspiring. :)

I would have to say this:

ClockTower1.jpg

You created Clocktower for Gears of War 1?

If so well done bro, my favorite map by far.

Edit; Damnit, it is a map for UT 3. Still, looks good.

So far? I guess my undergrad degree.

I guess learning Korean from scratch is cool, except for the fact that having a 6-person team from Pusan/Seoul teach me 7+ hours a day kinda cheapens it.

Degree. Final answer

After the things I've been through in life, I'm probably just most proud of not going off the rails and killing myself :(
I've had good moments sure, but they are always combined with something bad. Always.
Example: I got a Bachelors Degree and was too poor to attend the graduation ceremony so never graduated.

My favourite moment was probably hearing an audience applaud my short film when it was screened.

-Starting an indie studio with my friends (with no money) and releasing an Indie title to pretty good financial success. Developed it while I was in school full time and working part time. Sacrificed a lot of sleep and all my free-time but it was worth it

- Having a two page spread in Nintendo Power for our indie game. It was a big moment for me. I read Nintendo Power like crazy when I was a kid and now my work was IN it!

-Being accepted into a fantastic grad school. Worked really hard after the indie title to get in. I remember the day I got the acceptance letter. I'm on my last year and it's been fantastic.

- Working as a Level Design intern at a fantastic AAA company. Absolutely amazing.

- Having some of the most wonderful friends on the planet.

- Visiting Europe twice.

My next big one will be my first full time industry job. Then paying back my student loans.

Painting the reincarnation of all that is beautiful, sexy, wonderfully and perhaps even the essence of god in every mirror I pass.

hmm, i guess my greatest accomplishment would be becoming fairly successful in my eyes and the eyes of my family and some friends. Rose through the ranks in the videogame industry, got to see and do some utterly amazing things in my production work, met tons of celebrities and musicians due to my work. I guess that would be it.

Now that I am laid off, I am pursuing finishing up school (while searching for work) even though I still don't really see the value of a degree, I figure might as well go for it so I can look somewhat more attractive down the line since I have learned to never be loyal to a company. I plan to jump ship as many times as I can to advance my career further.

Well yeah haha sorry for not clarifying, it's a re-creation from scratch using models with the help of a friend.

that is one thing i think surgery has going for it compared to other medical fields... Lifestyle is hard and hectic but you have to oppurtunity to literally cure people of some absolutely awful things that will ultimately or likely kill a person...

I guess getting accepted to a good Grad school with a good stipend, but I don't place a lot of personal value in any of my accolades.
