Your biggest accomplishment so far in life?

- When I was 17 my father passed away. I became the father, essentially. Went to parent-teacher conferences when my mother worked, drove my two brothers to events, overlooked finances, had to run the house for a month while my mother was in the hospital, etc.
- Lost 70 pounds last year
- Finally got myself a girlfriend.
- Finally discovered what I want to do with my life at 23 years old.

That's about it. Other smaller things, but those four are the major ones.

I made it to top 10 on the Vanquish leaderboard.
because there were only a total of 20 people when it first came out
fml, hey it lasted 2 days.

In seriousness, I have no accomplishments :(

Come from another country poor as hell at age 7.
Shaky HS finish but got my BBA 6 yrs later.
50% House Ownership in 2010. 528i owner 3 months later.
Trying to buy 15% stake into my current job and increase my salary by 44%.

All legal. :)

I thought I had done pretty well for myself until just yesterday when my hopes and dreams were fucking smashed to bits and now I feel lost and don't know what to do with myself at the moment...

Born in a 1st world country, getting to the highest level of HS possible.
Next: Finishing last year of HS and be allowed to study at a university.

Cured cancer.
But that's relatively simple in my field.

Future goals:
--Obtaining the ability to operate on a perforated duodenal ulcer in a 79 year-old, treat all her complications in intensive care, and watch her leave the building in a wheelchair instead of a body bag. That's when I know I'm ready.
--Obtaining Grado RS1i

- my daughter
- landing my job and starting my career OS after interviews and case studies in my second language (which I'm not all that good at). Meant my wife could continue with hers and we could stay in Scandinavia.

Except various academical achievements, nothing so far.

Near future goals:
- Finish high scool with perfect grades (one year left and I'll probably end up in the school's top 5%).
- Get a college scholarship (economy).

Long term:
- Master degree from a prestigios European college.

I am going to graduate at the top of my class at the end of the summer (assuming I do well in my last class) with no debt and I've bagged a healthy amount of awards along the way. I've applied successfully to several good law schools and internships.

Two stand out:

1. Saving my mom and sister from certain death. Read more @ http://independent.gmnews.com/news/2004-08-11/Front_page/057.html if you wanna know the whole story.

2. Earning entrance into the United States Naval Academy. Even though I ended up graduating from Boston University, I felt honored to step foot on the grounds and give it my best shot.

EDIT: Here's another article I found online detailing what happened that day. Seems like yesterday.

I've made some games that are included in an educational software package that's used in 5500 schools in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Finished A-Levels with A*, A and B.
Got mostly firsts in my first year of university.
Maintained the same relationship for over two and a half years now?

Haha, academic and romantic. Go meee.

I was the valedictorian when I graduated from High School year '07 and my GPA was the 8th highest in the country.

I guess that's my biggest one yet.

To get back on my feet thanks to my own will power after being a chronically depressed and potentialy suicidal teen/tween with seemingly no perspectives for the future. From being barely able to leave my parents house out of anxiety to being able to live abroad all on my own. From having almost no job skills and options to being a completely self educated sought after professional.

Bunch of academic stuff.
Getting some (text) books published.
Hauling myself out of a profound psychological slump that got me institutionalised for quite a few months.

I have a beautifull girlfriend.

Have two even more beautifull girls

I alone make enought money to support my kids and gf and pay all bills while living in a house.

7 friends coming over tonight to eat BBQ and drink!

Feels good.

Interviewed Shyamalan about The Last Airbender.
Invited to The Last Airbender premiere.

So....two free trips to NYC, I guess.

I was the first person in the entire world to come up with the phrase "playstation? More like gaystation."

That was completely my fault.

*Sigh*

Last thing that I did that I would even remotely call an accomplishment was when I was making an NES emulator and I finally saw the Donkey Kong title screen come up on an emulator that I made. Got the game to work too along with a few other games that don't use mappers. Too bad I never came even close to finishing it. Degugging an emulator is a fucking bitch.

Sorry, I didn't mean to claim that whites should automatically get scholarships or aid. That would be absurd. I agree. I just got frustrated when I was turned down yet people like my example got more than I would have even asked for. That's all. My apologize... should have provided context. I meant, considering the assumption that white males have it easy, I found it to be absurdly difficult.
Are you sure every minority who got a scholarship was born wealthier than you? Seems like a generalization. Missouri was a slave state, get mad at the man for your situation instead of being angry at minorities (if that's the case).

Scholarships should be given to those that can't afford them, colleges need to stop focusing strictly on race and focus on the economically disadvantaged (which is what my college did). Though I think descendants of slaves should get free college for as many generations as they had slaves in their family. Too bad people would cry about it and colleges would be too lazy to foot genetics tests to prove this.

Fake answer, yet truthful, my kid.

Greedy answer, got myself to a point in my life I could buy my dream car.

Good for you man, congrats.

I've got the dream motorcycle, now I just need to get a job and go for the car.

Most significant accomplishment thus far: getting a master's degree and presenting my research at the IT university in Copenhagen.

I'm also very happy with the beautiful woman who's all mine atm.

WTF...that's heavy shit :(

Right now I'd say it's landing the job I have. The company I work for is very hard to get into.

In college I was in a band that was really close to signing with Drive Thru Records when they were still a big deal but our singer flaked on us right before we could finish recording the EP they were interested in publishing. Had that gone through, that would've it been it.

I'm not as young as most of you, but still have been fortunate enough to have some great things happen in my life. Here's the Cliff Notes.

I've trained Kung Fu at the Shaolin Temple in China, rode a camel through the Sahara Desert, climbed Kilimanjaro and camped on the Seregneti, trekked through the Amazon, snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef, visited Base Camp on Mt. Everest, climbed an 18,000 foot volcano in Chile, and snowshoed through Yellowstone in January.

Just some highlights. :)

- Me going to Japan last year on a tour all by myself. It was soooooo amazing!
- Having a ton of money saved up.......I can buy a lot of things that I want.
- Knowing that I’m a good person and am respected my loved ones/friends.
- Having very good control over my type 1 diabetes. My doctor is really proud.

Hehe, I did that last year too! ^_^

I was awarded a trip to Laguna, California for my performance at work. Best time of my life besides the birth of my child.

It was amazing huh? So many fish and beautiful things to see. Loved it. Snorkeled on the reefs off the Florida Keys last year, and while it was still a lot of fun, it couldn't hold a candel to the GBR!

Winning Best in State (TX) in a high school animation festival and having my short shown in one of the Alamo Drafthouse theaters in San Antonio.

Too bad finals were that week and I couldn't actually make it to San Antonio.
