Your Favorite 80s Cartoon Theme Songs

There's no mistaking that 80s cartoons had the best theme songs regardless about how you felt about the cartoons themselves (the majority of which made by Shuki Levy).

What are some of your favorites? They don't even have to be from ones you watched either.

  1. Silverhawks - Like the Thundercats, was basically the same few lyrics sung over and over but the beat was awesome and had one of the sweetest guitar riffs right in the middle
  2. Jayce & The Wheeled Warrior Intro/Outro - Never really watched it myself but the theme song is boss. Could definitally see it as a pop song in its own right. Uniquely, they went with a different song for the end credits instead of doing a truncated version of the main theme like so many other cartoons
  3. Adventures of the Gummi Bears - Nice and hummable
  4. Adventures Of The Galaxy Rangers - Another "could have been a pop song on its own" contender
  5. Dinosaucers - Ignoring the lyrics aside, the background beat is amazing
  6. C.O.P.S. - Good in a "late 80s" kind of way

Just thought of another one. Kissyfur. Never watched the show but had a nice theme song. Liked how it started off soft and then eventually kicked into a nice rock.

(Mini documentary about the making of the music)

Edit:

Man, 80s cartoons were all about selling those vehicle toys.

I was born in 85 so I was pretty late to the game by the time I achieved awareness. Definitely never watched a lot of these.
