I've only got marks in for two of my courses so far. Because UofT is slow.

EUR 200: European history 80
SLA 220: Intermediate Russian 92.

I expect Russian history to be in the low 80s, International Relations to be in the mid- to high- 70s, and American History to be in the high 60s.

What's so difficult about:

1. Land
2. Kill Indians
3. Fight British
4. Ruin own land
5. ?????
6. Profit

:lol

The difficulty is it being The University of Fucking Toronto, beeyotch! This ain't no Laurier Brantford Campus here! ;) (Just kidding, Alucard :) )

Seriously though, a couple of my friends were surprised by some of my marks in that class too. They think that my T.A. must be marking a bit harder than the others, but I'm not usually one to blame my marks on such things.

Is it easier to get A's and B's in America? It seems so much harder trying to get a first where I am in the UK.

No longer boycotting the Wolfenstein franchise
I'm looking at a 3.5, making it my second worst semester. Blah. I'm so unmotivated to work in certain classes that just won't give me any practical knowledge or skills for the future, yet are required for my degrees.

From what I know thus far...

Computer Science II: B+
Calculus II: A (I'm so glad this one is over for good)
Digital System Design: A

I'm expecting

Mechanics & Heat lab - A (2 creds)
Introductory Electricity and Magnetism - A or B (3 creds...although it's actually TAUGHT at an intermediate level...my teacher has it running almost parallel with the 400 level e&m course here)
Calc III - A (4 creds)
Intro to Astronomy - A (3 creds)
Intro to Philosophy - A (3 creds)

Really hoping for an A in E&M. Got a solid B on the mid term, and an A on most of the homework, but this guy's exam's are H.A.R.D.

Can't wait to get all these random intro classes out of the way.

Diffy Qs = GOD KNOWS WHAT

Jesus. I've never tuned out a course so badly in my life. I seriously went to every class and just sat there and tried to follow along and ended up catching myself doodling thinking I was taking notes. Same thing when I'd sit down to study. When doing the labs, everything. It was horrible. I ended up teaching myself most of the semester's worth last week.

No idea at all. Could be good could be bad. I'm praying.

Aside from that:

Writing about Literature: A+ (Easy peasy soph lvl course req for Engl minor)
Lit of Late 19th/Early 20th: B/A (Depends on how I did on final. Yay for having a grand total of three grades in the semester)
Business Law: A+ (Yay for electives//whiny business majors)

I'm so fucking glad that I dived into my english minor this semester instead of working more on math.

Seems I can't get an A in any of my EE classes this semester. Oh well, I'll take a 3.0 anytime. One more semester til I get a EE degree from GaTECH.
