Just finished watching this anime last night, so it's funny to see this thread bumped today. Fuck, man. I bawled, what a good show. I feel the need to purchase all 11 books right now if only to support the author in some small way. Would be great to retread the series in manga form as well.

I watched it all like a month or so ago from a recommendation in another thread, great anime. I have it on Blu Ray now too.

Fuck this anime. It made an almost 30 years old man cry like a baby... I don't remember the last time I cried this much. There is some slow stuff in the middle but the ending moments are good enough to compensate.

That's exactly what I'm looking for!
After watching Erased (AMAZING), Re:Zero (quite shocking tbh) and My Hero Academia (which at least satisfies my DB-itch for now) within a couple of weeks (haven't watched one since over 2 years) I need my Anime fix really quick.

Will give this a try. After Steins;Gate though.

I second buying the books. The manga is an interesting read for another perspective. I really recommend watching the dub if you watched it the first time in sub, the dub is one of the best I've ever seen and is a different experience.

Does the manga vary much from the anime? I've seen the first three or four volumes and it seems pretty much exactly like the anime.

Yeah, I've heard the dub was good. I'll definitely be re-watching the series soon with the dub.
