Your next system purchase?

In planned order of purchase:

1. DS: I don't think even six months ago I would have thought about picking this baby up, since I have never owned a handheld, but now with games like Castlevania, Trauma Centre and Phoenix Wright hitting the system it looks like I will have to pick one up. This system just seems to have too many fun games to not buy it.

2. PS3: Umm, let's see, the top franchises in stunning next-gen glory, this is a no-brainer.

3. Revolution: Being a Nintendo fan this baby was going to be mine no matter what, but now with controller being unveiled I am salivating in anticipation of playing the next Metroid, Zelda and hopefully Resident Evil with it.

Although currently I own all 3 consoles, I don't think that will happen with the next-gen, XBox 360 is very much a wait and see prospect for now, maybe Ninja Gaiden will push me over the edge.

Micro (for FFVI port among other games)
Revolution (because I've owned every Nintendo home console hitherto)

I'm getting X360 for free, and DS doesn't really interest me too much at this point (a redesign would be nice). PS3 is vaguely interesting, though I'd really like to reserve judgement until I see gameplay footage. GTA4 is what I'm probably most looking forward to on PS3.

Maybe a ds (depends on how good mario kart is and if anything else worth buying comes out) maybe a psp (if 3rd strike arrives on it) if i dont get neither i will settle for a revolution and a ps3 when cheap and tekken 6.

Revolution at launch day and PS3 later on. Xbox 360 is also considered but from the look of all the trailers that I watch the games have some kind of PC feeling that I'm tired of. Kameo is the only one that I actually have interest in.

Maybe a 360 for the time until PS3 comes to europe. But not at launch, xbox price dropped extremely fast over here, expect some early drop for 360 too

don't expect a quick price drop of the 360. MS did a big pricedrop to buy marketshare. Xbox 1 was just a tryout which cost MS 200euro for every xbox.
Now with the 360 they have to make profit..., also they already cheaper than the PS3...

i think you will see different packages with games combined, or free Xbox live gold, extra controller that kind of promotions absolutely.

For the rest it is at a good price point..... 360 is my next buy...but I like the japanese line up better.

Xbox 360 on day one.
Then PS3 about 18-24 months later.

Nintendo-depends on what I see and like. I'll buy one when theyre really cheap, and they have a few of the games I want to play(Pilot Wings,Metroid Prime,A true Mario 64 sequel.)

I'm mildly interested in buying a PSP (mainly because of Burnout and GTA), and (too a lesser extent) Xbox360.

Most likely my next system purchase will be a PS3, followed by a Rev though.

Within the next 6 months or so, I plan to get:

• Gameboy Advance SP+ (Graphite Black)
• Nintendo DS (Graphite Black)
• PlayStation Portable
• SEGA CDX

Not really planning to jump into next-gen for another year or so... Though, if the Collector's Edition of Oblivion (360) ends up being a limited release, I'll probably snag that in the meantime.

X360 - Just to see what Rare have done with Perfect dark.
REV - At launch.
PS3 - Depends on the price.. but will hold back until the big name franchises are released.

Nothing left for me to get but the upcoming consoles. First up is the Xbox 360.

I'm still undecided.

I don't own any console, playing with a friends PS2 at the moment. Perhaps I buy a PS2 with GT4, I loved GT3. And there are a lot of cheap but great games for PS2.

But that would mean no 360 at launch :( And Oblivion and Kameo are so tempting, I mean it's f**king next gen!

1. x360 at launch if some games turn out to be outstanding. If not I'll wait
2. Revolution is a no brainer, my friends and I will all have one at launch
3. PS3 if it really is better than x360 (HDMI + psp connection + blue ray support + more powerful + more japanese support could make it better indeed). But when will it launch in Europe? At what price? If x360 gets PES/Winning Eleven before the launch of the PS3, it will be over for Sony: we europeans will all buy a x360 for that game only.
4. White DS as soon as I can find one at 130$. I'd resell my grey one

Playing the waiting game on next-gen until I see what everybody is bringing to the table. I already own PSP, PS2 and DS so I guess no system purchases for me in the forseable future

If my financial status miraculously changes for the better then I'll get the following:

PSP
Xbox 360
PS3

If my financial status stays the same I'll probably only get the PS3; I'll have to start saving now - I will probably get the others when there is a price drop.

Erm....

Gameboy NEXT or whatever it'll be called.

Unless the next gen Mario or Sonics blow my mind.

Revolution will probably be an impulse buy if its cheap enough.

this is probably how my upcoming gaming system purchases will play out:

1. GBASP v.2 (undecided) - when it comes out in Australia
2. GBA micro (undecided) - after first price drop in Australia
3. DS-SP - don't have a DS yet so I'll probably get this the day it comes out
4. Revolution - after the first price drop OR when there's a game I must have for it
5. PS3 - after the first price drop
6. NEXT NEXT GEN

PS3 and Rev, PS3 first and Rev when it gets a decent chunk of first party games (primarily a new Zelda).

Pretty obviously the 360. Is someone writing down all the peeps who wont buy one so we can ignore what they have to say about the console and its games ?

Whatever I can afford and whatever won't find me sleeping on the couch for the next month when my wife finds out I bought it for $400+ :lol

The 360. Next spring may be my only chance to go next generation and still devote some time to it; the other two will probably come too late for time or money concerns.
