The papers here pick and drop comics all the time. And most of em aren't funny anyway.
But lately there have been a few decent ones.
My favorites:

Get Fuzzy
Boondocks(sometimes)
Zits
Heart of the City(be quiet)
Foxtrot. (I know this has been around for a while but I just got into it last year with the Kill Bull skit. Very funny series.)

i read the college paper and its got a few funny ass comics. The ones i love are about the geeks and the HIP girls. All taken from real life encounters and turned into just pure comedy gold.

pearls before swine - it's got more of an edge over other comics and it amuses me how they can use up an entire sunday strip just to deliver a stupid pun

sadly, all three run in serperate newspapers.

Online I read...

FoxTrot - They repeat storylines too often, but they're great regardless
Zits - They repeat storylines too, but damnit if this strip isn't hysterical. Some of them are just fantastic.
For Better or for Worse - This is a holdover from my youth...I feel like the aging characters provide a real sense of attachment. It's fun to be able to just follow people on their actual lives, with actual problems. It's not funny, it's just interesting to keep up with and see how the characters grow.

This is a conservative comic but whenever I see it I get a laugh. This one is not funny though.
