Youtuber claims his credible source with no facts says 2K will announce NFL2K at E3

Back when the deal was announced about the EA extending its license with the NFL didn't a bunch of us notice that the wording seemed a bit weird and no longer implied exclusivity?

I wouldn't be shocked, Goodell wants that money from everybody and anybody who's got it.

If this were true they'd allow nike, reebok and Adidas to all make "official" jerseys, they'd let Dish, Directv and Comcast all show Sunday Ticket and they'd let Bud Light, Coors light and Sam Adams all be the official beer of the nfl. That's not how they operate. They seem to like being associated with singular partners to make each brand seem more "premium".

The latest NBA2k game isn't great
Their baseball series was so bad they stopped making it even though they had zero competition on non-PS platforms,
-Their WWE games are low budget turds with the only redeeming quality being the amount of customization options

I have ZERO hope for a good NFL game from 2k.

HipHopGamer has been saying this for months now.

HipHopGamers says a lot of shit that ain't true.

God, if this happened, I'd be super ecstatic.

I still play NFL 2k5 (yearly roster updates are great) and I only bought a couple of Madden games since the deal went in place.

Will it happen, probably not, but I'm holding out hope.

So this is the megaton exclusive Microsoft 3rd party game?

So, if the NFL license becomes unshackled away from EA, it would be sad to see it being shackled to the weaker current-gen console. We'd be back to square one. I hope this is not true (possible tho).

He's saying CGI.

Seems like a pitch to show the public what they can do and that the NFL better listen if the fans like it.

Can anyone even afford to make an NFL game now, having to start from scratch?

Risk vs reward. Madden sells ~6 million copies per year, which approximately translates to a total revenue of $200 million. If you could capture even 25% of that market, that's $50 million.

I still remember what a big deal it was when EA locked down exclusivity with the NFL a decade or so ago (if the word existed back then, def a "megaton")

A dark day.

EA extended their license. I really don't see this happening although I really want to believe.
Really? Ugh, i am never going to get a NFL game that is good ever again.

They did lose the college ball license though, right? Do i at least have a chance in getting a decent NCAA game this life time?

Scratch? So none of the mocap pipeline they built around the NBA2k series can be used? I doubt that. It's really not hard to top Madden. FIFA is actually a solid series, as are the NHL games. But they all suffer from stagnation. Competition is good for everybody.

Weren't there rumors of 2k scanning players awhile back?

You'd have to build the stadiums since they wouldn't be up to current standards and most would probably have been remodeled to an extent that's noticeable to fans. Players would need to be scanned. You'd need to sign announcers and lay out tracks for every conceivable situation. Maybe you can use the on-field audio still, but more than likely you'd have to redo that for the new machines and better audio specs. Same with the mocap - probably nowhere near what today's 'acceptable' capture is.

You're looking at a ton of time and money to even think about putting a game on shelves...to go up against Madden's name. It's a bad bet.
