Do you know the name Adol Christin?

Meet Adol for the first time or reunite with him in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana when it arrives on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on January 7, 2025.
Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana follows thrill-seeking protagonist Adol and his blue-haired companion Dogi as they return to Dogi’s homeland of Felghana. The eight years they’ve been away have not been kind to the lands which are now filled with roaming monsters, a newly active volcano, and a greedy new overlord extorting the suffering residents. While Dogi seeks help from his former master, Adol remains to help the locals, only to find himself embroiled in a world of conspiracies and ancient legacies.

With remastered high-definition visuals and music, the epic adventure has never looked or sounded better. Additional features include multiple versions of the sweeping soundtrack, accessibility options, and brand-new character illustrations, making Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana the definitive edition of the acclaimed masterpiece.

This is it. The best game Falcom's ever made. It's also probably most famous otherwise for its most common Steam achievement being 'died over 10 times on a single boss' because Felghana is merciless (although I wonder what it would be like now after my years of Souls training).

Not common opinion this one's the best, but it is very good and from that era of games where the experience is relatively short but still well polished.

Yeah this game is a stone cold classic. I think Ys 8 is my favorite overall but this is the game that got me into the series.

I wonder why the remaster isn’t coming to PC? is it because it’s being published by XSEED instead of NISA? I know the latter employs Durante to help with PC ports

Similar for me. In my case it was Ys III on SNES, which Felghana is a remake of, that began my love of the series. The bump system other early games used didn't really click with me until I really gave it time thanks to how much I enjoyed Ys III. And Ys 8 is definitely my favorite.

The Day One edition for PS5 and Switch comes with a lot of goodies, btw.
