They probably do if the game has dynamic scaling and framerate issues on Switch, but framerate caps and higher res require dedicated upgrades.

I would bet just about anything that the Switch 2 clocks down to match Switch 1 performance.
On topic: The real question is how much are the upgrades by themselves, and what if your NSO lapses? You just lose access to those games I suppose? How does it work for physical enjoyers?

I took Microsoft for granted. Their rendering resolution bump to backward compatible games is fucking excellent.
Shouldn't be surprised. They did the same on Wii U where you had to pay an upgrade fee to natively emulate your classics bought on Wii. Nothing is free with these guys.

Without AA, at 4k it will still have many jaggies and Nintendo is allergic to AA, just be aware of that before celebrating
