Even if it was done like this from the beginning, but to be 4 patches and several months in on the game and then shadow drop censorship in right before a patch? It's despicable honestly. This game even already has the higher age rating in CN (the only place this even matters at all to any governing agency), so what the fuck?
At least HoYo's getting grilled in all social media about it. Hopefully they are forced to at least talk about it.
*edit*
I found out the missing EN voices. It's Lyceon, Rina, and Koleda. I haven't played the new story yet but supposedly they have minor parts and it's only the 3 of them. I might switch to JP for this patch anyways just to see if I like it. I'm kinda used to the EN voices for most characters by now though.
Got our little fox earlier this morning, lost 50/50 to Grace (AGAIN) but then got Miyabi in 41 searches.
Thanks to abundance of A rank characters I got during searches (which were all M6 like 2 months ago, but I got a final dupe of Seth so he's M6 now too), I've 35 tapes left and I haven't even touched anything new they added + Story, new commissions, SD, HZ endgame etc. so there's plenty of polys and tapes to get still incl. events and such. I'll probably wait for a while, gather polys and tapes and then decide what to search for, her dupes (except the third one which removes the need to play Miyabi well, so it kinda cheating) or W-Engine. Plus I need to test the drive sets I got now to see how well Miyabi performs in combat, I've tried to get the new set made for her, but so far only got one good disc and the rest were the second set with Attack as the main stat. I guess I have to rely on the full set I have now for a while.
Here's also an update on my search history and stuff, haven't posted this in a while.
Stable channel loves to throw Rina's W-Engine at me, can't say I have complaints since I already got all standard S rankers
In regards to censorship. It's a sad, saaaad thing
Like, is there something even worth censoring there? Absolutely nothing the way I see it, cuz everything is covered with two visible layers of clothing which hides everything and I don't even mean panties ffs beyond all that. Ugh, it's just stupid and disappointing af cuz there's absolutely no reason for all this, none whatsoever. Who fuckin' asked for this? Show yourself!
I'm still updating, but they went even more aggressive with the new added transparency filter than even Genshin does, and that's much more of a "family" game than ZZZ.
Man I'm so tired of crap like this. Wish all gacha games were 18+ to play. Kids shouldn't be e-gambling anyways.
On my game, the transparency only kicks in when the camera is fully down and the character never fully dissapears. Just a small touch up on the camera and the transparency goes away. Makes me wonder, why the hell even implement this?
This is how the game looks now for me when the camera is all the way down:

Yeah, he's a lot better than stupid Anton and has a lot of evasive moves which could help in combat a lot. Idk when I'll build him, but I will eventually.

Played for a bit to test the new changes. Man, I love the Ult changes they did, it is so much better now that you can essentially have 3 ults in a row and kill enemies much faster. It's not great to use this triple Ult before the enemy is stunned though, so just like before - stun, maybe chain attack and then triple Ult. Is great, looks cool and combat now is much more dynamic and even more flashy. If only they could also add an unique all-out attack (at least for the whole factions to start with) which you can trigger by combining the energy of all 3 ults.
Miyabi is an absolute monster in combat and if you did everything right to build disorder by another agent so she can apply Ice debuffs and get 3 full charge attacks after ult and 2 after ex... Without a doubt, Miyabi's combat kit is the best in the game so far but you need to play well to use everything she has to offer at the right time. And I don't even have her W-engine yet and 80% Crit Rate, not to mention a full set of good discs meant for her. The problem I have now really is that my Soukaku and Lycaon are not fully built yet, so I need to work on that to pair them with Miyabi.
On another note, check you in-game mail guys, maybe there's 1600 polys waiting for ya there.
I've 65 tapes already (will be 72 in 3 days if not more). I might as well try and get her W-engine now, but given that I got the last 2 sigs at ~70 searches, I think I'll wait a bit longer
The combat changes are really good imo, every character on the team has full use now.
lighter/harumasa/lucy work really well together because of this; I tried replacing lucy with seth, but it wasn't as effective, he does much better paired with jane.
Best I can do for now
Yeah his damage is more than fine, if nineveh didn't run off the the center, he would've taken off 80% of her healthbar by himself
Already got Miyabi as well. I lost count, but was around a total of 140 pulls to get her. Considering that it took me 160 pulls to get Yanagi, all i gotta say is: Hey HoYo...
I bought the $2.99 bundle for 5 day log in, that’s a good value for the price.
These are the kinds of bundles I keep an eye out for. Good shit.
Edit.
Might pick up the 99¢ bundle in the store too.
Edit2
And another 1900 poly in the mail, damn good shit.
Edit3
Mann the change to make bursts independent for each character is really nice. Being able to use Nicole’s burst on my Ether team is a welcome change of pace.
Yeah the new mode is the elysian realm like I suspected, it's like a more streamlined hollow zero where it's more about adopting specialised gear into your playstyle instead of just building for crit/elements.
They also have the "elysia signets" that alter the way the character plays, and they are quite potent to say the least.
Unfortunately for now only a few get alt playstyle boost, which are miyabi, yanagi, ellen, and billy.
They probably picked billy because everyone has him, and he could definitely benefit from some buffs, and these buffs make him much stronger
Even with type disadvantage he destroys the final boss fairly easily
I wonder what kind of nice buffs they'll implement for the other characters.
Haramasu's burst damage is really good imo, he kills both boss phases pretty much in a single stun.
I find Miyabi without her engine kinda dissapointing. I already have my Miyabi maxed out, except for the Core skill F. So i was farming the boss that drop the purple core skill materials and the boss is weak to Ice and Ether, so this are the teams i used to kill the boss to compare Miyabi team:
Miyabi + Burnice + Sukaku : Killed boss in 1m07s (Miyabi + Sukaku taking advantage of weakness to ice)
Miyabi + Burnice + Caeser : Killed boss in 1m07s (Miyabi taking advantage of ice weakness +1000 str from Caeser but no synergy bonus)
Yanagi + Burnice + Caeser: Killed boss in 1m12s (No one taking advantage of boss weaknesses)
Jane Doe + Seth + Caeser: Killed boss in 1m15s (No one taking advantage of weaknesses)
Conclusion: They made Miyabi much more dependent of her engine than other characters that can find decent alternative engines. Thers no engine in the game that comes close to how good her signature engine is. (I also know that they nerfed Miyabi skills values and buffed her engine stats during the beta)
She is still very strong even without her engine and her moves make her very fun to play. But i was expecting her to be 1 step above Jane and Yanagi, but without her engine, shes at the same level.

There's still F skill I need to unlock (will do that in 2 weeks from now after store refresh) and get 2 or 3 discs from her set, cuz the ones I have now are not ideal and had only one of each sub stat - Crit Rate or DMG, so there's still room for improvement. Anywho, I better start saving polys, tapes, lvl up and skill mats for Evelyn now that I'm almost done building Miyabi

Yeah, i dont know if i am just unlucky. But i have just like 2 really good discs after such a long time farming. And even then, they do not even have perfect rolls.

I almost used all 2,4K energy stored (I'll get around 1000+ back via paid BP and free batteries, so it's not that bad) and saved before 1.4 launched and I still have one and HUGE pain in the ass disc 5 to get not only with Ice DMG as the main stat, but also Crit Rate / DMG sub stats, and I'm thinking about replacing Anomaly Mastery and Disc 6 to get Attack disc instead, but Idk, I might reconsider for the sake of Evelyn.
Good thing about all this is that I've got plenty of discs for Astra with great main and substats and dupes of them as well, it's not like I'll be pulling for her, but still, I might use them on other agents, I just need to figure out which. Any ideas? The Attack buff from 4 discs is not that great in comparison to old set of Attack discs though so idk.
Also, we still don't have Ice deffence agent in the game, so I might use old set I crafter for Miyabi in the future.
Played a bit of Tower Defense mini-game.... and it's actually really good, heh, I honestly didn't expected it and it might as well be a separate game instead of a mini-game within a game. Now this what kind of games should be at the arcade instead of crap which is currently there. I think they should keep this mini-game permanently in the game, add more bangboos, more levels, perks, buffs and stuff.
Deadly Assault can fuck right off with its BS timers and heavy reliance on maxed out characters (lvl, skills, engines, discs, passive buffs etc.) and for WHAT you supposed to go through all this? 300 polys and a bunch of stuff you can easily get using plenty of other ways? Man, I hate stuff like this, moreover, the first boss can completely screw everything up with its BS time wasting charge stance and then follow up attacks with the huge swords and stuff. I mean, the boss is amazing in therms of design and it feels great to fight him, but FUCK BS TIMERs and BS rewards locked behing maxed out characters. I mean, FFS, just today after almost 5 months I used the thing to unlock 12th level of the skill for a single agent, cuz it takes a lot of resources, energy wasting and stuff if you count all needed skills. And on top of that you also get a time limit of 20 days? In what world is this acceptable? How for example completely F2P people can complete all this BS and have completely maxed out teams for 3 stages where there's also only 2 Ether agents in the game one of which is complete shit in combat? And as if that's not bad enough, you can't even edit teams after you confirm your selection. C'mon, MHY, you can do better than that, surely?!
I've replayed so many times the Sacrafice Bringer fight and the max I can hit is almost 17K points with the best DPS agent in the game at M1 lvl 60 incl. signature W-Engine and maxed out the first skill with the max charge DMG multiplyer at almost 4,500% with almost constant lvl 3 charge attacks, disorders, Ults from the whole team sometimes 2-3 times in a row even depending how well I play and that's not enough? Fuckin' what!?
Uuuuuughhhhh.... Just fuck Deadly AssaultIt's a complete waste of time and not worth the effort
It can actually provide a pretty decent challenge if that's what you're looking for, though it takes quite a bit longer than a regular run so I probably won't do it gain unless I want to test something.
Looks like deadly assault is another thing from honkai, memorial arena; single strong boss with a time limit to get points and even locking your characters to that boss, though they seem to have skipped the easier portions and only have the endgame version available, which I guess is fine but it probably will be too difficult for 90% of the players so there will probably be a negative reaction to it.

I’ve been wiping Crit Nodes every week easily, my problem is endless tower, floors above 25 just get too sweaty for me, can’t seem to cope with them lol
The thing is, it's not even difficult, the problem is the timer and completely unrealistic S rank requirement which should be no more than 15K points, cuz vast majority of the ZZZ player base will not be able to do it in 3m to get A ranks even, let alone S ranks at the curent state of DA. It's natorious SD lvl 5 from a couple of months back all over again.
Do you have her singnature W-Engine? Cuz if not, you need to get 9,6% (well, idealy) Crit Rate on each disc you have (good luck with that btw, you'll need it) + 4th disc with Crit Rate AND Crit Rate sub stat ( ) cuz otherwise you'll be dependent on the 12% disc buff to Crit Rate to reach 80%. There's a new F2P event A rank W-Engine with Crit Rate sub stat, but it's for Attack agents.
*****
Finally got the 5th disc with Ice DMG, but I gained about 10% to Crit DMG, lost 2,4% of Crit Rate, 400 DMG (that's quite a lot) and 18% of AP. Plus RNJesus blessed me with the 6th Attack disc with Crit Rate and stuff, but I lost 34% of Anomaly Mastery. Need to test which disc is actually better in combat and of course the best way to test it is SD 7th node, which before I managed to clear in 2m30s and get S rank before even gettin' the 5th Ice DMG dics and swapping AM disc to the new Attack one. Now I wonder if 30% of ICE DMG even worth it and if it'll be better to get the second attack disc to bust regular DMG to ~2900+
On another note, replaced Zhu's 2 Attack disc set with Miyabi's discs with decent bonuses to Crit Rate / DMG as well as 16% of Crit DMG from the two disc set. This Miyabi set is great cuz it's actually pretty universal and can be given to absolutely any Crit Rate / DMG agent basically to boost Crit DMG

A strong stunner with the stun gear in lost void is pretty funny, lighter pretty much loops bosses into stun as long as he has ultimate stocked
Also a little funny thing about lumina square, because it has npc's that walk around and randomly cross the street, the dynamic traffic system can allow you to make huge queues of every npc that walks around there and have them cross all at once like a really busy city.
Managed in doing 2 stars on that Bringer boss encounter in the new Deadly Assault mode, but man this new end game activity is a bit too sweaty for my taste.
You'll do more damage when you completely stun an enemy or a boss, but since 1.4 update, changes to how daze and dicibels work, as well as after dealing with Deadly Assault and the new roguelike mode (oh, man...!), it is best to use 2 of them when they're ready to inflict max daze and save the biggest damage dealing one for when you stun an enemy. But if you have Miyabi, her signature etc,... dude, you can just spam Ult and fully charged Shimotsuki and destroy almost all HP from the most tanky enemies and even some elites as well and if you have Yanagi with her constant disorders,... it's funny how fast you can clear stuff. SD 7th node is no joke mind you, but still, if you have good team and agents, it's doable and not impossible, unlike DA BS they added.
Speaking of the new roguelike mode. Maaaaaan, it is SO MUCH BETTER than boring and long as sin standard HZ and everything they added to it since release, and don't even get me started on the terrible and even more flower boring boss at the end. Battlefront Purge has some elements from the regular HL, but this time in full 3D with a little hub where you can see agents and other characters before you can venture further, a shop to buy resonia and you can control Eous to run around. You can get some cool gear to enhance character skills beyond what's available in their kit, buy perks like in HZ and stuff. The structure is very similar to Darkest Dungeon II (for example) where you can see the map and plan which route to take depending on what you need etc.
I kid you not, I cleared everything already except the last 3 modifiers with relative ease and you don't have to spend a lot of time there, it's max 11-12m long instead of 20+ in regular HZ, well, I mean, I have Miyabi, Yanagi and stuff, so maybe it won't be that fast for everyone, but the most important thing here is that it's A LOT OF FUN and there's not daily/weekly EXP limit so you can play and get rewards until you hit lvl 80 in a week if you really want to and you can unlock amazing DBZ like Bangboo there and max him out as well. Honestly, it is the best endgame content they added so far along with SD, but there's still no dedicated mode with small quests and rally missions and I think it can be another great endgame content addition if they can somehow squize Eous gameplay into these missions along with regular agents gameplay and combat.
You know what guys, I think ZZZ is shaping up to be something special finally, after 5+ months and I'm looking forward to see what they'll do next
Probably a minority in here, and that's fine, but I hate all of these sweaty combat modes. I enjoyed the tower (where it's mostly about surviving and winning) much more than timer related DPS checks. I've just seen and experienced this type of shit in so many games now, I don't have the desire/time to grind gear to hit the thresholds needed. I especially don't like fighting the same things but a little bit tougher for scores.
I really wish we could get some mode where they awards style points for doing lots of mechanics successfully in a row or something. Like doing a combo of defensive assist -> EX move/signature mechanic -> perfect dodge -> Stun/Quick Assist -> Ult would get you like 10,000 points. If you fuck it up in the middle, then you only get like 2,000 points. Something similar to DMC but where the score dictates how well you used as many game mechanics as possible. These types of gacha action games always grind down to just being RNG gear farming fests and rotation "Simon Says" to get optimal damage in the least amount of time. Maybe the first few times I ran into games like that it was interesting, but I'm completely over it now. Shame that they put so many polychromes behind these modes so I can't just skip them.
Anyways, the tower defense mode is competent, that's been a nice break in the combat stuff. They're already making me miss TV mode though.
Pejo
I agree with you on BS timers, DPS checks and stupid scores, as well as stuff which is not rewarding you for how good you play in terms of understanding how the game works and how to utilize everything the combat system has and be properly rewarded for it. And yeah, DMC is the right game to look at and borrow things from as well, but for some stupid reason MHY just loves these BS timers, DPS checks and scores nobody gives a flyin' fuck about
I think the game needs a proper combat tutorial like really good modern fighting games have, where you can learn each character, team compositions, how they work, how to properly fight, how to cancel things, how to counter and dodge, when to switch to other agents, how you need to build your teams, which bangboos do what and how you should pair them etc. etc. And yeah, I'm all for combat mode with rewards for how good you play and understand the mechanics without BS timers and scores tied together into a one giant and furstrating mess
They should look at the challange tower in the first Onimusha for example, which has one of the most rewarding gameplay in the game where your skill can trully shine and when you beat it.... well, I'm not gonna spoil it... just in case

Not a fan of this mode either. Above all, it will get worse every 20 days or every patch. The enemies in Critical Nodes had more health each time. The same will happen here with life and attack strength as well. If it's annoying now, I don't want to see this mode in a year's time.
