Zenless Zone Zero ༺*|OT|*༻ Gotta Waifu 'Em All ♡(੭´͈ ᐜ `͈)੭♡

Probably a minority in here, and that's fine, but I hate all of these sweaty combat modes. I enjoyed the tower (where it's mostly about surviving and winning) much more than timer related DPS checks.
Did you try lost void? It's not really a endgame mode unless you're at intensity 9, and even then it gets easier every run thanks to the permanent upgrades; I'd say the endless tower gets more difficult than lost void intensity 9 at floor 20+.

for most games , especially Genshin, I do whatever is required for the gems and I’m out lol,
In ZZZ I try a *little* harder but I no longer have the patience I did when I was younger lol, after a few attempts I’ll leave it as is and revisit it when I have newer/more powerful characters

I've just seen and experienced this type of shit in so many games now, I don't have the desire/time to grind gear to hit the thresholds needed. I especially don't like fighting the same things but a little bit tougher for scores.
Same, content based on DPS in gachas is pay to win content, and i just do the bare minimum with what i have to get some rewards and then never touch these game modes again.

The new hollow zero mode i enjoyed as you can keep upgrading and getting stronger, the other mode where you need 3 teams i managed to get 5 stars or whatever so i just missed the polycrome reward for 6 stars, above that the rewards is just trash. And with 20 days to refresh new rewards its another game mode i can forget.

The tower could be fun, but once again HoYo greed just made sure i completed the 1st 15 stages and dont bother with that game mode again as all rewards above that are trash.

Just completed the 5th chapter main story and this is where this update shines. Was the best piece of story from the entire game, and it was quite meaty as well.

Now im just spending my polys on Miyabi engine banner cuz Miyabi will most likelly be the last character i pull in this game as im about to drop it once WuWa comes to PS5.

Btw Ray Tracing is available in all PS5s, not just the Pro. Just did a test run aound some cities and performs better than i expected, but performance takes a noticable hit, didnt test it in combat as mostly is just Ray Traced reflections, so not really worth it the performance hit.

Edit. Also, looks like they're adding skins.

I see that they're using the Genshin formula of making the optional skins even more censored than the default designs. I don't understand how HoYo gets skins so backwards. They're supposed to be enticing, not just different colors. This one is free, so you can give it a pass, but we should be getting bikinis or different themes or something like that, not palette swaps with the tits covered up.

Pejo Pejo I agree with you on BS timers, DPS checks and stupid scores, as well as stuff which is not rewarding you for how good you play in terms of understanding how the game works and how to utilize everything the combat system has and be properly rewarded for it. And yeah, DMC is the right game to look at and borrow things from as well, but for some stupid reason MHY just loves these BS timers, DPS checks and scores nobody gives a flyin' fuck about✋:messenger_weary:

I think the game needs a proper combat tutorial like really good modern fighting games have, where you can learn each character, team compositions, how they work, how to properly fight, how to cancel things, how to counter and dodge, when to switch to other agents, how you need to build your teams, which bangboos do what and how you should pair them etc. etc. And yeah, I'm all for combat mode with rewards for how good you play and understand the mechanics without BS timers and scores tied together into a one giant and furstrating mess👎

They should look at the challange tower in the first Onimusha for example, which has one of the most rewarding gameplay in the game where your skill can trully shine and when you beat it.... well, I'm not gonna spoil it... just in case:messenger_relieved:
Yep and even if they didn't want to do a tutorial, it'd be worthwhile for them to create fights that force you to learn the mechanics through gameplay. Like have a challenge mode where getting hit by a "flash" attack (orange or red) will insta KO you, so you have to pay attention and use dodge only for red and defensive assist only for orange to get through the mode. That's a bit of an extreme example, but at least it puts learning mechanics at the forefront. There's lots of things that they could do to bump the challenge in the game without making it a DPS race for every single endgame mode. I don't know how they keep falling into this same trap with all of their games. Probably some despicable revenue reasoning for it, if I had to guess.

I did, and it's the better of the new endgame stuff, but you and I both know this is just Elysian Realm with a ZZZ flavoring. It's a mode that's fun until you realize it's another weekly chore added to the list that changes minimally over time. The only real advantage is that it lets you try out characters kits if they weren't hampered by game balance and were just made with having fun in mind.

Agreed. I just don't want more "chore" modes added that you obligated to complete for pull income. If these were one-off modes I'd hate them a little less because like you said, I just want to get in and get out with my polys.

Tower is such a missed opportunity. They went against their typical agenda and let you have a mode that was actually difficult, not just superficially gated by timers and ballooning HP. In my opinion, they shouldn't have killed rewards at level 15, but should have capped it at a certain level. Then each patch they release another 15~ levels with unique challenges designed to push your shit in, not just 20 billion HP and a 3 minute timer. I don't mind fighting and failing if it's something that I can overcome with skill and practice. That's why people love stuff like Souls games after all.

This is the redline for me. Not spending any money on skins ever.

I mean, yeah, when you get all the rewards the only incentive to play more is to try the new Gear and effects for characters that have them. But honestly, if they'll replace (and they absolutely should) weekly standard HZ with 8000K points with BF Purge points instead, I'm all for it cuz it's a lot more fun to play, the final boss is miles better than the flyin' flower and you can try other characters, provided they'll add new Gear for each and everyone of them in the game (again, they absolutely should).
