Zoo Keeper (NDS) = $19.99 @ gamestop.com

lol. I know WHAT the game is. I am asking what it has beyond the flash game that has been around for years.

The flash game is just Bejeweled. The Tetris Attack on-the-fly combo-ing is exclusive to the DS game. Other than that...well, none of the modes really made an impression on me.

It won't let me proceed to checkout...anyone else getting this error?

edit: wait nevermind

Total $21.98

This is the best DS game I've played. This is both good and bad news.

Ow, that hurts.

Not even better than Super Mario 64 DS (gotta admit, those minigames are addictive) or Wario Ware Touched?

I'd say Yoshi Touch & Go & Mario 64 DS are better, but I'd rank Zoo Keeper slightly above my next choices, Warioware & Polarium!

Doggone it. I've been waiting and waiting for this game to drop and finally caved in and bought it at BB for 34.99 last week.

Ah well these things happen as a gamer, I suppose.

Over the long haul, I like this game better than SM on DS and Wario Ware Touched. I think those two titles got the shaft on this platform, whereas Zoo Keeper is more simplistic yet constantly satisfying. I don't think the variety of mini-games in SM equals the fun of ZK in repeated play.

Cohesiveness over the scattershot experience in those two games?

I can see that.

one of my favorite puzzle games... nice game to play when you just want a little break, and a good game to play when you got time on your hands! worth 20$ and more

The only game I'd buy a DS for right now, and it's €49 over here. Should tell you that much for the $19.99 price...

For 20 bucks, it's worth it. Nothing more than that, though. On a not so related note, I broke 1 000 000 in timed mode yesterday, yey!
It's funny...I don't find the game to be anything more than decent...but I still end up playing it every now and then. Maybe it's because I don't have any other DS game for quick gaming sessions. :/

Get Yoshi Touch N Go if you want another quick session style game. I got it this weekend and it has pretty much replaced ZK for that role. Score attack and time attack are roughly the same size as ZK's time attack (my favorite mode in that game). Marathon mode is the real winner, however.

I think the story mode, or whatever the hell its called, is very satisfying. Wish there was more of that.

My top five favorite DS games so far (in no particular order):

Zoo Keeper
Kirby Touch My Pink Spot
Yoshi Touch and Blow
Meteos
Pac-Pix

I bought the game when it was $40 because of some of the hype on here and only played it 2 times. Horrible game. This game isn't even close to the greatness of Tetris Attack or Lumines. I bought the hype and got burned, people on the brink do yourself a favor and wait for Meteos.

I dunno, I played a flash game of meteos. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it all seemed very reactive instead of proactive. I guess I just didn't like not being able to move the new pieces, and I didn't see much strategy or thought in the rocket mechanic. But I honestly didn't spend a whole lot of time playing it either, and again, it was a flash game that I assume was built from in-game media?

Where did you find this flash game. I will have to try it out.

But either way, I was only basing that comment on the overall uniqueness of the game. Zoo Keeper is pretty much just a Tetris Attack formula clone with a couple small changes that manages to break the TA gameplay and make it suck. I was not impressed, and this is coming from somebody that still calls Tetris Attack the greatest puzzle game ever. You would think I would have a special place in my heart for games that are similar....guess not.

To me it just feels like they were looking for a way to use the touchscreen first, and were thinking about game design second. I don't think that is necessarily a bad thing, except in this case the result is something that is fun, but not especially.

Anyway, use your mouse to move the pieces around.

For what its worth, that plays like shit. (Keep holding the mouse after you create a line, whoops!) Also if you don't find the game especially fun, eh that's taste for you. Personally, I love the time attacks of Meteos.
