Show us your gaming setup: 2014 Edition

Flat Ethernet is a great idea. My setup is finally coming together. Built in shelving is done, but needs an adjustment to properly fit my Yamaha surround bar. Smurf run is complete - including one I forgot to add for the subwoofer coax run.

more pics in a couple of weeks. I should have some making of shots too.

Nice! Cant wait to see the finished product!

Pictures of the screen itself please :). For me it's hard to believe that the benq can produce that picture on a 180" screen. That screen must be 4 meters x 2,25 meters in 16x9.

I'm guessing he's projecting that on the wall... a screen that size would mean there would be a subtle seam somewhere on the screen. If not, then that screen is expensive as heck...

No, not a screen. Its a smoothed wall that's been painted with behr paint combo that makes...I want to say..."silver screen". I'll see if I can find the mix.

Basically, its meant for high lumen projection systems as it can be pretty dark in color. The result is massively improved black levels without hurting whites too much.

Cool setups everyone, I'm slowly building my room right now. It's about half done and I love ripping off everyone's ideas.

Almost everyone has their TV setups a lot farther away from seating than myself. Even in my living room there are times I'll sit on the coffee table to get closer.
I really like the setups in this thread but can't imagine sitting so far away from the TV - even with a very big one. I have very good eyesight too, have never needed glasses. I just don't feel comfortable sitting so far away.

Wow had just taken a pic to post but upon reading the thread I realize I have absolutely nothing worth showing by comparison.

My room, where the magic happens. It's a work in progress, but mostly complete. Corkboard to go on the wall to the left of my monitor is coming, and more shit to hang on my walls is being shopped for.

I love these desks, my 50-inch TV, my PS4, and I want to build a new PC with this case. It's just big enough to make for a deliciously snug fit under my desk.

How do u like your speaker above the TV? I have a Vizio sound bar below my tv on the bottom shelf of my stand and I am not crazy about how it sounds down there, curious if I put it above if it would sound better.

I was very hesitant to post as I have big plans for my unfinished basement. However, as I'm not sure when that project will start, never mind be finished, I figured I might as well post my current set up.

I absolutely love it. Having the wireless subwoofer next to the couch really gives off the surround sound type experience. Having the sound bar above the TV is more ear level with less things to pass sound around, so you will definitely like it more above your TV,

I used to have a separate HD setup in another room for the Wii U and PlayStation 3, but the HDTV broke, so everything's in one little space now. The only consoles I don't have hooked up are my original PlayStation and my Commodore 64.

I've been thinking about moving all of this to another room, but I don't know if I'm going to do it yet.

It's been a while since I've posted but figured I'd give a good look at my reorganization of my setup.

Here are some old pics for comparison first (these are fairly dated and didn't show everything I had but work for a good idea of the old flow).

And, here is what I moved it around to. As you can see I've gotten rid of the chair as it was redundant and I wasn't using it. This freed up a bit of space and let me reorganize it to something a bit more desirable for myself. Sorry about the mess as well, didn't really care to clean up for a few pictures.

Sorry, didn't realize this one was as blurry as it came out. Been fighting with the camera recently.

Heres a better shot of the tv area.

The dog has taken a liking to my couch recently.

This was the biggest change, moved the desk to that spot in front of the closet that is covered with the curtain, don't really use it other then storage for stuff like boxes so I figured the desk could go there. Managed to find the 2 speaker stands at a thrift store the other day for $6.99 a piece. Helped me decide to move stuff around as I didn't have to use the desk as a speaker stand anymore. Also got rid of the crappy throw rug I had down so I moved my Blu-Ray shelves over here which I think looks way better then what I had going on before.

Also here are a few close-ups of my gaming shelve. I fairly recently sold off most of my 360 stuff so my stuff is a bit low on what it once was. Still have been focusing on some older gen stuff more recently.

Finally added this gaming keyboard the other day. Been reading about mechanical keyboards and figured I may as well try one out and picked this up for $60 or so. Best decision I've made in a while. Has made even typing be more enjoyable.

Definitely opened everything up a bit more for me and I am much happier with this look.
