Wow, thanks for the list.
Seeing that there will be DLC helped me deciding to wait a little while until another GOTY/Ultimate/etc edition comes out, or at least some nice steam sale.

It feels satisfying and definitely looks good. That makes it a shame if the level design really is just either recycled from LoS1 or completely uninspired. Will still be waiting on reviews.
Eeh the game is still 20+ hours long. I wouldn't say it doesn't deliver value on itself.

Question for those that have played the full game: will Gabriel's attacks later on affect enemies (stun or something)? Because I hate that even while I'm hitting an enemy multiple times, it can still hit me back and I can't see their animations since all of the flashy effects of the sword/gauntlets get in the way.

Bergaron, the MS insider on the Castlevania DUngeon Forums told us Alvarez and Cox wanted to publish the demo like 2 weeks ago and put it up with the pre orders, as you might noticed the demo got delayed, that was according to him because Cox was stubborn on offering MoF as the pre order incentive (and of course, put it on sale). The demo looked gorgeous on PC. I really liked it. Though I did have a problem with the enemies where it seems that their attacks could not be interrupted sometimes by you attacking early. Some of their attacks would even go through my current combo. Hope this gets tweaked in the final game.

that was fun. The beginning is a bit meh, with all the knights borefest, but the giant fucking castle-sized robot thing was really good, although a tad easy. Dracula vomiting a couple galloons of blood was WTF, but hey it's Dracula, he does that sort of thing. Combat is responsive, fast and carries some nice weight, graphics are good (on PC, all maxed, rock solid 60FPS) and well, game is fun. Can't make comparisons with the first since demo is only about 15 minutes, but it seems LOS fans will also like this one

I am not convinced that Konami prevented it from happening, but the fact that their were plans for MoF as a preorder bonus and that those plans fell apart is something I am pretty confidant in. Are you saying that is not true?

I think there are some platform confusions here. Either by GAF or this Bergaron guy. The current plan for PC is set in stone but there is an opportunity coming up for one of the platforms that I wrote about here.
I don't know what Dave Cox is saying in that Tweet, it doesn't definitely outline anything... As far as I know that surprise is something completely different and who shot it down is also open for discussion.
What I'm saying is that there are a few confusing assumptions that I'm having trouble tracking down and getting answers from on my side, which means that it never existed or is just being attributed to the wrong platform or product. What I can tell you is that there is something you'll want to be aware of if you were thinking of getting it on PS3 that will be made available to the public on... Friday.
I can't confirm those plans for the platform that was referenced. When the news drops Friday, you'll understand.

Same here. I thought it didn't make sense in the context of what was happening at the time. Should have been left for a discussion between two characters or part of a larger monologue.

Sure thing! I like to remind people that the demo is not the final build, it's the demo we revealed at E3 2013. There have been modifications all over the place, from AI and behaviors to particle effects and I can't guarantee that the final version will either include the same issues or resolved them, but from what I played... 2 months ago? The game was feeling far more polished and I don't remember having issues with either concern.
You will also have to consider that Gabriel does not have his full arsenal in the demo, we've certainly saved a bunch of the juicier stuff for the full game.
In clearest terms I cannot comment on the status of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate on PC.

So Dave Cox Tweeted a picture of MoF HD running on a laptop around the time that MoF HD was getting released on PS3/360 last year. Take that as you will. I have no official news about the title on that platform, but you can guess there is something potentially going on. (Not the way I would have shown off the title... But...)
From my perspective, I can't tell you that something is happening, just in case of the event that it doesn't happen. I can't tell you something isn't happening, just in case of the event that it is happening. Everything available right now can only be taken at face value.

there really isn't a lot of upside of releasing a demo like this. If its not as good as the actual game, this aint a good impression. For skeptical people, it just reconfirms their bad thoughts. Dudes with castlevania avatars were gonna buy it anyway, so no gain there. For everyone else, it just seems like an unpolished tutorial where you can't skip any of it on a next playthrough, doesn't make a big impression.

How hard is it for a company to commit either way to releasing a title? Either it happening or its not happening. We went through the same crap with Lords Of Shadow on PC.

Super excited for this. Obviously the demo is from an older build. I don't get why people don't understand that. As for the game, I've been added to the review request list for it. I've gotten mirror of fate on 3DS, the PC version of LoS, and the Collection before, so I'm guessing I'll be able to cover this game for you guys as well. Not sure when the game will go out for review but it's personally one of my most anticipated games for the year. So super excited.... and this is coming from a Castlevania fan since the very first game was released. I still remember when I got Super Castlevania IV for my 12th birthday. This was after I had rented it about 8 times already. The memories. 
Dunno, will have to look into this.

Don't know about that. I had no intentions on finishing LoS1 and getting LoS2 until I played this same demo almost 4 months ago. I bought LoS1 on PC, and am currently trying to finish it. Would be great if we also do get MoF at some point to know the full story before going into LoS2.
Please pass this along to who is needs to go to. I bought LOS on PC day 1, love it, and want to play LOS2. I will not be buying LOS2 until I play MOF which I am yet to buy because I was waiting for it on PC after the twitter pic. If it is confirmed that MOF is coming out on PC I will preorder it and then after beating that purchase LOS2 on PC.
To sum it up the longer Konami waits to give the PC gaming community what we deserve the less money that they will get from me because I will be waiting to buy LOS2 until after playing MOF on PC.

What's wrong with his view? The Lords of Shadow series is a trilogy, and unless Mirror of Fate is released on PC, PC gamers only have the beginning and end of a trilogy.

Not to sound like a novice gamer, but the demo does a terrible job of explaining what you are supposed to do once you grab a stunned enemy. It's "wait until the circles meet" but no prompt that corresponds to a thumbstick motion or a button press.
Visually it's impressive, but this is gameplay 101 we are talking about here.

And I do wind up straightening out a lot of misconceptions. That and I really like video games and I post in non-Konami threads, too.
I'm also a big believer in full disclosure. If I don't know or can't answer, I'll let you know I don't know or can't answer rather than ignore questions. If there's a reason I can't, I will fight it internally, usually. And I'll lose sometimes, sure, but it's all a process. This position didn't even really exist until I came aboard, so I like to think I'm making progress (both internally and within the community). I'll take looking silly 99/100 if that 1/100 means that someone will get the news they are looking for.

That is exactly how i feel. I just finished LOS a couple of weeks ago, and promised myself I wouldnt play LOS2 until I played MoF. I was hoping for a PC version but was giving up hope and try to decide between the 3DS and PS3 versions, but really I just wanted a PC version.
I really hope this happens soon.
