Nintendo Direct Feb 13, 2014 Thread | 3DS/Wii U Spring games

I'm so tired, I really should go to bed when I get in from work, but I know what it'll be like trying to sleep before I've seen this with all this HYPE running through my veins

What I fully expect:

Super Smash news
Mario Kart 8 Final release date
X Shown
Some new VC stuff
Bayonetta 1 & 2

and I HOPE Nintendo leave the show with a BIG tease of some sorts (i.e. Zelda, Metriod or an all new IP all together. That would be nice!!!)

Granted that Sakurai has been working on it since March of 2012 and that it'll come out at some point this year (barring any delays) it has to be at some level of being almost complete. There's about 2 years of development time there. (i believe Brawl was the same way before the delays)
 
I thought the hype would go down after a very good night of sleep but it didn't work. Worst thing I did was putting Xenoblade's OST on full blast while getting dressed and drinking my cup of coffee. I'm now on full hype mode, 10pm seems so fucking far away.

Ready to be disappointed!
I keep telling myself this but I'm hoping today more than never for a good direct, I will be so fucking disappointed... see, I did it again. It doesn't work.

I went to sleep at 6am, then woke up at 9am. The hype is too strong too resist. Might as well just embrace it.
 
maybe it's because of the utter disappointment of nintendo and the majority of Its directs in 2013, but I can't even muster a semi at the thought of a new direct anymore.
 
I don't really expect to see much other than mario kart 8 and donkey king tropical freeze. Maybe a new character announced for Smash. That's probably it for wii u stuff and I only care about the wii u stuff.

Well to be fair it's not my first language, but they're gonna focus on DK and Mario Kart and then show everything else that's pipelined for the year.

And to be an even more of a Debbie Downer, even if X is indeed a spring game, that's gonna be Japan only, and the West is gonna be seeing it by the end of 2014 regardless.

I'd say there's a chance. My first choice would be the original Prime. (A trilogy HD collection may be too much to expect.)

I'm not sure they'd do sunshine so soon after SM3DW.

I wonder if Iwata is just going to roll out trailers like he did during the January Direct last year? Could have shaved off a lot of time not talking about Miiverse that Direct.
