It's funny. Usually it's nothing but "nintendoomed, how to fix nintendo, why does nintendo suck soooo bad!?" threads on neogaf. but EVERYTIME there's a direct announcement, the thread pages and hype go through the freaking stratosphere. i wonder why that is?

i'd say it's cuz deep down, most of us gamers want to see nintendo just fucking dominate and realize all their potential.


aside from last year's january direct tho, these are usually MASSIVE disappointments full of nothing.

evidence is pointing to news on X, Bayonetta 2, Smash, and possibly something from Next-level and maybe even an awful new Shining title. The direct is longer than usual clocking in 41 minutes as well at an unusual broadcast time.

Those are all projects we know about, and wouldn't warrant these hype levels on normal occasions. Like if they just delivered that information in random press releases.

But this is a Nintendo Direct thread and nothing makes sense in this world. Yet all is okay.
