The possible unknown would be a bonus.

No. It performed meh to bad in Japan. It performed better in North America and Europe but even then it didn't do anything to really write home about.

where are you getting this from? It performed fine in japan, dont know much about europe bu t sold more than ninhtnedo's expectations in NA and they had to continue restocking it, it could very well be in the 700,000 or even 900,000s rigt now.
