I fell asleep and woke up with something called Steel Diver: Perfect Fleet in my head. It was some kind of free to play Action/Strategy game in the Steel Diver "Franchise." The idea is that you have fuel and weapons to customize a fleet of submarines. Everything updates in real time on your Wii U, similar to games like Farmville or EVE Online. Although everything takes time, refueling takes time, developing certain weapons takes time, and so forth.. however, you can save time by spending money to increase the speed that items are developed. This only helps on item development though, movement along the various regional "oceans" takes time and every new part adds weight which has an effect on your speed and fuel consumption. When you are in a battle with someone, the battle is turn based with "turns" expiring after a certain time.
I just remember getting an alert on my phone that my fleet was under attack. I pushed "delay response" and got home to the Wii U to respond by assigning commands for my fleet. I was also working on developing a new type of gun for one of my ships. It wasn't going to be done by the time I got home, so I paid $1 on the app to make the gun develop quicker so that when I got home.. it would be ready. I woke up feeling weirdly sick.
What if we the Steel Diver Free To Play in the direct....
