Thanos when?
Should get a little Thanos in GOTG. Post credits at-least.
Thanos when?
They do but it's not necessarily just Marvel. The Xmen movies have had this effect lately too.Marvel knows how to cast.
Me too. It has everything going for it, honestly. They even chose two actors to voice the two characters that will be the hardest sell, that will draw in audiences. I feel even if RR or Groot are a little hokey, general audiences will be ok with them because they are Bradly Cooper and Vin Diesel.
I kinda get the sense (both with this AND Star Wars: Rebels) that there's kind of a Firefly influence making itself seen/felt. At least a little bit.
That said, this trailer was basically "Buff Chris Pratt and a bunch of smirking aliens."
It's not great. It's not bad. But it's just a trailer.
They're sitting on Darkseid for fuck's sake. I mean, we all know Vader and swaths of Star Wars probably don't exist without Darkseid/New Gods. He's a huge deal. Yet he's never been in a film.
And we've already seen Thanos on screen! It's so weird how this is all playing out.
Why does everyone keep mentioning Nine Inch Nails? I'm confused![]()
Are the sequels to Infinity Gauntlet worth reading as well?

at least it isn't his current uniform.

I guess if you're in a Mrvel based movie you're seen as marketable now?
I was actually thinking more along the lines of Farscape. The chiseled male lead, the selection of insane alien lifeforms, the "band of outlaws" feeling, the grand galactic scale...
During Bendis' Avengers Assemble, but it's a very lackluster story.I love the Marvel movies, but I am not a reader of their comics...
Can someone tell me if GOTG ever team up with the Avengers?
Why isn't Jason Statham Rocket Raccoon?
Yeah, it's a shame. His voice would have been perfect. Why isn't Jason Statham Rocket Raccoon?
Just saw someone describe the trailer thusly:
"It looks like this is to space what Your Highness was to fantasy."
I don't know if I agree entirely - but I DO see the comparison.
Cause marvel knows how to cast.
Looks cool. I know it's Marvel but is this considered a superhero movie or a science fiction movie?

I still can't believe this is a movie before WW
A talking raccoon, a tree, batista drex, Zoe saldana in green and a parks and recreation actor, all playing C list heroes...CAME OUT BEFORE WONDER WOMAN
Hols the L DC/WB. Just hold it.
Already looks better than every other flick Marvel's put out

I don't know if Gunn is as familiar with Farscape as he is Firefly, considering he's friends with Whedon & Fillion. But I do see where you're comin from.
I could see that. Or maybe 'The Fifth Element'? Colorful space oriented sci-fi but with some campy, tongue in cheek humor included.
I could see GotG being received similarly -- strong enough BO but somewhat polarizing amongst though who've seen it.

I don't mind it being comedic, but the comedy in the trailer was awful. The action looked good though...
