I thought that was a special Fearow until the Gold Silver Pokemon stuff started leaking (as in, a kid brought it in a picture he printed out of Ho-oh, PIKABLU, and Togepi).

As a kid I had a dream that I had a Pokemon game on gameboy with Togepi as the main character, and I got really rich in it. This was before G/S were out, and we only knew about Togepi as a next-gen pokemon (I don't think Ho-Oh or Marill were fully revealed yet).

Actually Hitmonlee is not great in Gen 1. Most of his strong moves have poor accuracy and his physical defence is woeful. I have to say the Chan would have been far more effective here.
